If I ever win an Oscar or a Nobel prize I'd like to thank my parents, friends and of course Howard and Alain for the unforgettable summer I spend with them at this place. Howard and Alain (or rather Alain and Howard..?) welcomed me with open arms and let me stay with them for a month. The work was varied and interesting, every workawayer has his
… read more own personal project which he mainly focuses on. Howard and Alain asked me to build them a simple website. It was a fun and creative endeavor and I'm confident that the three of us learned a lot from this project about all sorts of things including but not limited to web design. When I wasn't working on the project, I helped with other tasks. I did mainly simple tasks such as weeding and cleaning the windows, but the most enjoyable thing I did, which I highly recommend to anyone who's reading this, is to ask to help hang the laundry. It might sound bizarre that I specifically recommend that but trust me, it is so worth it. The view from atop the hill, right next to the tennis court, is nothing short of breathtaking, gazing upon the rolling vineyards, seeing the top of the old derelict(?) church, feeling the cool breeze (HINT: tell them that Danny told you to ask them). I cannot neglect to mention my two other workawayers, Carlos and Andres, which were just out of this world (in the good sense of the word). Couldn't begin to imagine being with someone else other than Carlos and Andres. We had a good companionship, and everybody helped each other with the different tasks. Actually all of us worked and acted as a team, Alain and Howard included. The five of us became good friends and every dinner we had was wrought with joy and laughter. I cannot recommend you to stay here highly enough. I experienced it in summer, but I wonder how it is in winter? I guess there is only one way to find out...!
Cannot thank Howard and Alain enough, thank you for everything.

Better late than never...
I`ve stayed 6 months this beautiful and stunning place Domaine de Perces. I have been here two times years 2019 and 2020, and my stay there were some of the best periods of my life.
Alain and Howard they have been working hard to make this a beautiful and amazing place. They always keep positive and keep going on
… read more attitude. They are thoughtful, kind, lovely and have wonderful sense of humor.
I enjoyed helping with all kind of works; paintings, cleaning rooms, washing, ironing, shopping, dinners... We did the work together as a team, which was wonderful. Sometimes the days were full of work and long, but in our free moments we went out to eat, to the movies, to explore the nearby villages or meeting their friends.
If you are someone who is willing to work hard and energy this is place for you.

I have just spent eight weeks in this incredible place, and truly had some of the best days of my life in this beautiful place with it’s really amazing owners. Alain and Howard are the most welcoming hosts who won’t measure the efforts to make you feel at home. Two amazing guys who, after a very short amount of time, became also very dear friends.
… read more They’ve welcomed me with opened arms and patiently introduced me to the routines and lifestyle of their charming “chambre d’hôte”. The whole property is stunning - inside out. The place is set in a magnificent location with beautiful views. Inside, each room is inspirational with elegant and yet cosy decor not to mention the amazing artworks all around. My accommodation was very comfortable, quiet and private. Work is very easy and fairly varied, and daily tasks included helping in the kitchen, some light cleaning and general maintenance work in the property. Everyday, we would all work together as a team and then spend our free time relaxing in the grounds of the stunning Domaine or visiting the beautiful nearby villages of the region. Dining with guests and meeting so many nice people from different corners of the world was a huge plus, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to share delicious meals and great wines over interesting conversations with hosts and guests. Furthermore, I was able to improve my french language skills since Alain is a very patient teacher. All in all, staying here was a wonderful experience that I will forever cherish. I highly recommend this place where is guaranteed that you’ll have an amazing time, and I’m sure that, just like me, you’ll find thousands of reasons for wanting to come back as soon as possible.
