  Description

  We are a family composed of Kayson (7 years old), Yannick (4 years old), Kyara (3 years old), Tanke (our doggy companion) and Blythe (mum of the 3 Vikings). We have been in France for 2 years and live in Essarts en Bocage (Vendée). Our last workaway was a Brazilian girl who stayed with us for a year and it was a great experience. I take 100% care of the children, I work at home so I am always at home. My Vikings are very active and love music and dancing. We love sharing our lives with other people and getting to know cultures from all over the world. Our family has had Argentinians, Uruguayans, Italians, French, Spanish, Swiss, Brazilians... and we have wonderful memories of all of them. I consider myself a curious, open-minded, empathetic and enthusiastic person. One of my goals in parenting is to introduce my children to different cultures, learn their languages and connect with new people, share life experiences while gaining invaluable knowledge from each person, and all this without leaving home, as it is not easy to travel alone with three Vikings. I love this platform because of that, it gives us the possibility to travel around the world without leaving home.
  
  Somos una familia compuesta por Kayson (7 años), Yannick (4 años), Kyara (3 años), Tanke (nuestro compañero perruno) y Blythe (mamá de los 3 Vikingos). Llevamos 2 años en Francia y vivimos en Essarts en Bocage (Vendée). Nuestra última workaway fué una chica brasileña que estuvo un año con nosotros y fué una experiencia magnífica. Yo me encargo al 100% de los niños, trabajo en casa con lo cual siempre estoy en ella. Mis vikingos son muy activos y les encanta la música y el baile. Nos encanta compartir nuestra vida con otras personas y conocer culturas de todo el mundo. Por nuestra familia han pasado Argentinos, Uruguayos, Italianos, Franceses, Españoles, Suizos, Brasileños... y de todos ellos conservamos recuerdos maravillosos. Me considero una persona curiosa, de mente abierta, empática y entusiasta. Uno de mis objetivos en la crianza es dar a conocer a mis hijos las diferentes culturas que existen, aprender sus idiomas y conectar con gente nueva, compartir vivencias y experiencias de la vida mientras obtengo conocimientos invaluables de cada persona, y todo eso sin movernos de casa, ya que no es nada fácil viajar sola con tres vikingos. Adoro esta plataforma por eso, nos regala la posibilidad de viajar por todo el mundo sin salir de casa.

  I am native Spanish and I speak Portuguese. I speak to children in those two languages, so the person who shares this experience with us will be able to learn these two languages. On the other hand, the children speak French at school and I need to practice French too.
  
  Soy nativa española y hablo portugués. En esos dos idiomas les hablo a los niños, así que la persona que comparta con nosotros esta experiencia podrá aprender estos dos idiomas. Por otro lado los niños hablan francés por la escuela y yo necesito practicar francés también.

  Attention, read this part carefully!
  I am looking for volunteers for a minimum of three months. They must be clear that they want to come to learn languages and with the good will to really help. I don't want to receive more people at home who are not clear about what they are looking for, think that my house is a hotel with full board and leave without saying goodbye in person (this has been the only bad experience I have had with a couple of volunteers and I don't want it to happen again). I'm at home all the time, I'm just looking for people with initiative (I don't have to tell them what to do, I don't want more children 🤪) who like living in a family, sharing and practising languages.
  
  I will tell you about our routine and school timetable:
  
  In the morning I am in charge of getting the children ready and they go to school from 8h30 to 16h50 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, so we have that free time before the Vikings arrive by bus. Then I prepare a snack, we play, have a bath, have dinner and go to bed around 20h30 at the latest.
  
  2 weekends a month (the other two weekends the children are with their father) we usually do activities and if the weather is good, outings, excursions, barbecues... but I need help with the children to do some things, so we schedule the outings and the volunteers help me with them.
  
  Living as a family means sweeping, mopping the floor, cleaning the bathroom, cooking, washing machines, walking Tanke... the usual household stuff. With the children, basic care, outdoor activities, lots of play, babysitting the occasional evening so that I can go out dancing and disconnect from being a mum. I am looking for volunteers who above all have experience in looking after small children, as it is not the same if you like children as if you have to live with them, their cries and screams can be stressful and you have to be prepared for that. We love to share everything and make the volunteer feel like a member of the family. For us, music and dance are very important... here we move the skeleton every day!

  Busco voluntarios por un mínimo de tres meses. Que tengan claro que quieren venir a aprender idiomas y con la buena voluntad de ayudar de verdad. No quiero recibir más personas en casa que no tengan claro lo que buscan, se crean que mi casa es un hotel con pensión completa y se marchen sin despedirse en persona (ha sido la única mala experiencia que he vivido con una pareja de voluntarios y no quiero que me vuelva a pasar). Yo estoy en casa todo el tiempo, simplemente busco personas con iniciativa ( que no les tenga que decir lo que tienen que hacer, no quiero más hijos 🤪) que les guste vivir en familia, compartir y practicar idiomas.
  
  Os cuento nuestra rutina y horario escolar:
  
  Por la mañana me encargo de preparar a los niños y van a la escuela de 8h30 a 16h50 los Lunes, Martes, Jueves y Viernes, así que disponemos de ese tiempo libre antes de que lleguen los vikingos en autobus. Luego les preparo la merienda, jugamos, baño, cena y a dormir sobre las 20h30 como muy tarde.
  
  2 fines de semana al mes (los otros dos fines de semana los niños estan con su padre) solemos hacer actividades y si el tiempo acompaña, salidas, excursiones, barbacoas... pero necesito ayuda con los niños para hacer algunas cosas, así que programamos las salidas y los voluntarios me ayudan con ellos.
  
  Vivir en familia implica barrer, fregar el suelo, limpiar el cuarto de baño, cocinar, poner lavadoras, pasear a Tanke... lo normal de una casa. Con los niños pues cuidados básicos , actividades en el exterior, mucho juego, cuidarlos alguna que otra noche para que pueda salir a bailar y a desconectar de ser mamá. Busco voluntarios que sobre todo tenga experiencia en cuidado de niños pequeños, ya que no es lo mismo que te gusten los niños a que tengas que convivir con ellos, sus llantos y gritos pueden llegar a estresar y hay que estar preparado para ello. A nosotros nos encanta compartirlo todo y hacer sentir a la persona voluntaria un miembro más de la familia. Para nosotros es super importante la música y el baile... aquí movemos el esqueleto todos los días!!

  I currently have a private room to share if you come with a friend, partner or family. If you are vegetarian or vegan, what you need for your diet will be purchased. The house has unlimited wifi.
  
  Actualmente dispongo de una habitación privada a compartir si vienes con algún amigo, pareja o familia. Si eres vegetariano o vegano se comprará lo necesario para tu alimentación. La casa tiene wifi ilimitado.
