Description
My name is Ndakie. I am from Morogoro town in Tanzania. I started off as a motorbike driver (piki piki in swahili) and I have worked hard to build a more sustainable business for my family (my wife & twin boys and other family members). Now I have a small safari & tours office. I am so proud of what I have accomplished & constantly working to make it better!
My business is based in Morogoro, a beautiful town at the bottom of Uluguru mountains. They are green hills with small villages, agricultural lands, great hiking trails & amazing waterfalls. It is a beautiful home.
We organize safaris all around Tanzania but mostly in the southern circuit in Mikumi national park, Ruaha national park & Selous game reserve. They are great locations, much less known than Serengeti, where you can have an amazing wildlife experience with less tourists and better prices. We also help organise hiking trips, cultural tours to Masai villages and markets and organise transportation around Tanzania.
This small business has really helped provide more job opportunities for local guides and is starting to bring more tourists to a less explored part of Tanzania. We still have a long way to go, but you can help us get closer.
I am looking to learn from you & your experiences as well as share what I know and introduce you to my amazing country.
A little about my family: My wife is a nurse in one of the hospitals in Morogoro. She works really hard and loves what she does, she is an amazing person. My two sons are twins. Beautiful well behaved boys. We have some extended family also living at the house, it is lively and never boring.

You may be interested to visit the well known destination in Tanzania like Serengeti National park, Ngorongoro crater, Lake manyara national park, Tarangire national park and Mount Kilimanjaro we have our partners in this area and we will link you up for this safari which you can share for affordable price and leave your wallet smile. This can be organized on your last week after volunteering to our office in Morogoro
You will be part of my family. You will stay at my family home and I will share everything about Morogoro, Tanzanian life and my story. I have organized many many safaris and I can share a lot of information -with the help of local guides- about the local wildlife. I will gladly help you go on hikes to uluguru mountains for free

If it will be hard for you to get the connection to the agency while you are volunteering and you are still interested to go on safari to Mikumi national park which is 1½hrs drive we can still arrange a shared safari to Mikumi national park which you will join other people and share the cost to make it cheaper

Hébergement
You will be staying at my house with my family. You will have your own room and share the bathroom with the rest of the house. Our home is very comfortable, we have a big garden and we live in a beautiful quite spot just 10 minutes away from the town center (and the office).
We will provide breakfast and and dinner with basic Swahili meals of a combination of: ugali, rice, beans, chapati and a meat or you will eat with us depending on the arrangement that week.
There is NO charge for staying with us.
We only have one room free, but with big bed. So for now, we can host one person.

I will help arrange transport to the office, we leave only two hundred meters from the Bajaj (tuk-tuk) stand and our office is located just two hundred meters from the tuk-tuk stand so it will be always easy to get to the office and home. Hikes in the hills are easy to do and you will have plenty of time to explore the town and its sights. Nearby attractions include Massai villages & markets. I can help arrange weekend camping trips and nearby hikes in neighbouring towns.
There is also plenty of nature and wildlife just 5 hours away, like Lushoto & Iringa. Volunteers are welcome to take longer trips there and come back.
