Description
Hello,
We are a Portuguese family of four, living in Algarve and we are keeping a permaculture project.
We need help with organic gardenning, open the coop and feed the chickens, sometimes help with cleanning and organising inside the house, for four hours a day, and you are free all weekend.
We are in Tojeiro, 3km from Marmelete, 20km from Aljezur, you can go to the beach in your free time and we are 25km from Portimão too.
Main things happening: permaculture, worm farming, organic gardening, food forest, organic chickens, cooking, fermenting foods, natural healing.
There is a big community in front of our land, you can get there walking 1 minute, to meet people, have a drink, whatever :)
We prefer people that stay long term, more than 3 weeks preferably.
We can provide a bicycle to move around.
You don't need any cooking skills, we cook for you.
Our kids will be turning 7yrs old in December and they go to school for the day. In the afternoon they benefit a lot from having contact with English speakers, they're getting better everyday! (this is just a plus, not a requirement).

You will be in a familly environment. We can teach what we know - portuguese language, permaculture design, worm farming, bio chickens, woodworking, cooking, fermenting foods, healing herbs, life in the countryside and resilience.

No special skills required, but we expect you to be comunicative, kind, an animal and children lover and a pratical simple person.
Dailly routine:
we are flexible, but the chickens need to be fed in the morning, the rest of the work varies and there’s no fixed routine.
Sometimes we have different tasks that require different routine.
Paleo food, if you are Vegan/vegetarian, we provide food to your needs. No sugar in the house, if you love sugary snacks, bring your own.

Renewed handmade caravan.

The bus station is near and we can give you a ride to there.
We love peace and quietness and you have a great view to enjoy.
