Description
We are Dylan and Georgia, we are in our early 30s and are building our dream property. Our dream is to turn our property into a farm stay with animals and food to become self sufficient in years to come.
We are currently building a tiny home, workaways staying with us during the summer will have the opportunity to contribute towards this project.
We also need help with landscaping, garden maintenance and design. We would love to learn more about permaculture and how we can use this is our garden.
Household tasks will be general cleaning, housekeeping, cooking.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Travellers will learn different cooking skills, including baking sourdough, general gardening tips, basic carpentry, trail building.
Georgia is also a sound healer and plays crystal singing bowls. Dylan & Georgia are both Reiki practitioners. If workaways are interested in learning about sound healing and playing the bowls that could be possible.
We love to spend evenings relaxing, eating delicious homecooked meals, and gardening. We will spend some time socialising with workaways but not every evening, after a long day we like to relax alone. This workaway is best suited to two people who have each other to socialise and keep each other company during work hours and exploring the local area.Aide
We are looking for 2 people to help us finish our tiny home, projects will include carpentry, tiling, installing a septic, various creative design jobs.
Other jobs would be landscaping, garden maintenance and design. Household tasks will be general cleaning, housekeeping, cooking.
In September, we will begin to build a spa/sauna area. Workaways could contribute towards that too.Langues parlées

Hébergement
You will be staying in the tiny home, and working there too. The space is a shell and you would be working on completing the interiors. Think Glamping! The bedroom is finished and includes a super comfortable king bed.
You would have use of the main house for kitchen and bathroom facilities. (1 min walk from the tiny home)
Vegetarian meals are provided, mostly self serve but sometimes we will eat together in the evenings. We like to eat fresh and home made things.
We are a 20 minute walk from the closest bus stop. 10 minute walk to the local bar and food truck. A small supermarket within 15 mins walk. 8 minutes drive into Sechelt town.Autres infos...
We are 8 minutes drive from the local town. A 15-minute walk to our local cidery or the beach. So many beautiful trails, beaches, and hikes to explore close by.
Kayaking and paddleboarding is very popular here.
Amazing sunsets and beautiful picnic spots.
Lots of artisan markets, breweries, and events year round to explore.Informations complémentaires

They're both really laid-back and fun to be around! It felt like spending time with friends.

He was enthusiatic about our project and was so knowledgable about machinery, carpentry, and lots of other things.
Ollie is wonderful to have around, very social and respectful. We are looking forward to his return to Canada.
