It was so nice to have Fiona home. She is a real mature person and so nice! You can trust her really without a doubt. She helped us around the house, with the dog and the kids. She managed to accomplish all the tasks asked perfectly. The kids played with her.

I spent 2 months with the family and really enjoyed my time. they live in a very nice area of France, and I was there in the winter months so it is even prettier in the warmer months! Aurélie is very proud of her culture and had many great recommendations, travel tips, and is very good at explaining their culture/ way of life etc.. Fabrise is also
… read more very kind and a funny guy, he does speak French, so it is more helpful if you know a few things but not crucial to the enjoyment of your stay. Élouna is very helpful and kind, I really enjoyed getting to know her. I spent most of my time with the kids, Elisabeth and Clint, they are both very cute and it was fun to see them grow a bit during my time there. They are smart and good kids who both understand English well, I would say for you it may be easier to have basic level of French but again it isn't crucial to the success of your stay, I just found it to be beneficial when interacting with the kids. I enjoyed going on walks with Tokyo, biking, exploring the nearby areas.. like I said very nice region of France! I do think you will succeed more if you have some previous childcare experience! thanks again, miss you guys!

I spent three weeks with Aurélie and her family. They were very warm and welcoming, integrating me into their family life. Aurélie was a perfect host! She always made sure I was doing well and having a great time. She showed me around the area and gave me recommendations on which cities to visit. One weekend, I took a trip to Mont-Saint-Michel,

During the week, I took Clint and Elisabeth to school and had lunch with them at midday. After that, I played with Clint while Elisabeth was back at school. Before this, I had no experience with young children, so I was able to learn a lot during my time there. Both of them are adorable and absolutely enjoyed playing with me.
Elouna and Fabrice were very warm and kind. Since Fabrice only speaks French, I was glad to be able to speak a little French.
In the mornings, I took the dog, Tokyo, for a walk, which I really enjoyed. In the afternoons, during my free time, I loved going on bike rides through nature or to the beach.
Thank you so much for having me, for the delicious food, and for the wonderful experience!

The workaway décide to leave during the day without any notice.
She was suppose to look after my kids. She realised She overestimated her about looking after kids.
She left after two days leaving just a note...
It was a lack of communication.

I am usually a rather shy person and I was quite nervous about this new experience of spending one month in another family and country. But I am so endlessly glad I did it. Their kindness and warmheartedness made me feel very welcome and secure since the beginning. I heard a lot of new expressions in French and overcame my fear of speaking but for

As I didn’t have much experience with little children, I kinda had to figure out how everything works but I loved this challenge and quickly felt more and more comfortable and familiar with my tasks. I did not at all feel like working there but really like a member of the family. The weather in September was still very nice so that I managed to see a lot of different and absolutely amazing places. In my free time, I discovered the fantastic landscape and often visited the beach or the Golf by bike. Aurélie is proud of her culture and really enjoys sharing it so I got to know a lot about the food, language and history, so much more than you ever would only in school or as a regular tourist. I will forever be thankful for this unforgettable experience with this extremely open, joyful, authentic and hospitable family!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Abigél was really nice and caring for all our family. She is helping as much as possible. We had a fabulous time welcoming her to share our history and the culture. Abigel plays lot of games with elisabeth and Clint. She speak a perfect English. Even tho she didn’t speak a lot of French, she try. She understand far more than what she can talk. I

I spent an amazing week with Aurelie, Fabrice, Elouna, Elisabeth, Clint and Tokyo. Besides the fact that I could only stay at their house for 1 week, they welcomed me with open arms and taught me a lot. Aurelie really made sure I was comfortable the whole time and helped me with anything. I had great conversations with Elouna and I also loved

Both of the little ones understand everything perfectly in English, which helped me a lot. Fabrice also made me feel really comfortable and even though we had a language barrier, he told me quite a lot about a few different things.I also loved taking Tokyo out for walks, even though he likes to be playful and explore everything he can. I got to visit a few beautiful places on this short stay, and we even went to the beach when we could, which I'm incredibly thankful for. Overall, this family is a really welcoming, nice and friendly one and I loved spending time with them!

I spent an incredible 3 weeks with this family! I gained some really valuable experience looking after 2 really sweet kids and was able to practice lots of French which I was really happy about! … read more understanding and took me to so many beautiful places in Brittany - I cannot thank her enough for giving me such an unbelievable cultural experience. We went to lots of gorgeous beaches around the area, as well as Vannes, Rochefort-en-Terre, Carnac, and I had the time to go to Rennes and Auray by myself which was lovely. We even went to a boardgame festival which was so interesting! Elisabeth is an extremely bright and intelligent little girl who can understand both English and French. Although I spoke to her in English, she prefers to speak French, which I actually found really useful to hear! You have to be patient with her at times, like all toddlers, but she is really good fun to play with! Little Clint is so adorable and a real little ''handyman'' (he will help you around the house!) and Elouna is so mature and lovely - she really made me feel welcome! And Fabrice is really funny and made me feel really comfortable.
This family is such good fun and so generous - I really enjoyed my time here! Merci beaucoup!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

What can I say other than, what a wonderful month I spent with this family! They welcomed me into their home as soon as I arrived and ensured I was comfortable. You will definitely have free time to explore on your own and Aurelis made the time to show me around Vannes, Rennes, and even took me to different spots in Brittany! She's also so helpful
… read more when it comes to advice for traveling and just overall a very generous person. Fabriz was so wonderful and funny even though there was a language barrier. The kids were a pleasure to be around. My only advice would be to make sure you have the patience and genuinely like kids! As they call her, "queen Elisabeth" can definitely have a temper at times. She also prefers to speak French even though she knows English. Essentially, knowing French would be a great help. Elouna was amazing to talk to. It's hard to feel lonely in this beautiful family and for that I am grateful. Thank you for this wonderful experience 💜Give a hand with my home and dog while exploring Fillière, France
