Important: English speakers only + Start May-June 2024 (ideal stay: 2 months)
I am a mother of 2 wonderful kids (an almost 12 yo boy and an almost 8 yo girl). We live in front of the sea, 30 min away from Barcelona (train station at 5 min walk). We can see the palm trees from our sofa!
We are an international family, as my boy was born in France, my girl in Scotland and their father is Italian. Even if I am originally from Barcelona, I have lived in 5 different countries for 20 years and came back to the area a few years ago.
In the last 3 years we've hosted 10 workawayers (from Montreal, Amsterdam, New York, Hawaii, Italy, France, Czech Republic, USA and Poland) and it has been an amazing experience so far.
Most of our previous workawayers have been females, so we'd like to have a guy this time. My son has ADHD and can be challenging sometimes so I'm looking for someone who is really into sports (football, basketball), who can play with him and help him with homework. You should speak English as a first language and ideally like cooking, as it's not my thing and we love discovering new meals every time we host workawayers :)
Your dedication: 4h a day 5 days a week, flexible. Chores: playing with the kids (mainly! indoor and outdoors) / cooking / tidying up. (Keep in mind the kids spend time with their father so they're not always around)
Oh and we have a 2yo female cat :)

I am a freelance translator and university teacher. I love exchanging with people from different places and have lots of international friends. My kids are very open and love travelling.
Being in front of the beach in a wonderful and easy city at just 30 min from Barcelona, there are plenty of activities to do! Trains and buses run every 10 min.
Big news: Trains are free of charge for the whole year :)

Your help will be mainly focused on my 11 yo son. He's intense, loves sports, and needs help doing homework. I will need you around the house and with the kids (outdoors too) a total of 4 hours a day, flexible.
