Kathia and her daughter Naila are lovely, kind and full of life. They welcomed me very warmly into their home and I spent some really good times with them, going to the parc or the beach, sometimes eating together, enjoying the simple pleasures of life while chatting and getting to know each other. Kathia always helped me if I needed something and
… read more she was understanding, generous and calm. And Naila often brought a laugh to the table, she's sweet and endearing.
It was rewarding to see that I could contribute to improving this wonderful place ( and the nature was reaally beautiful around ). I usually started around 10am with some dishwashing and tidying up the kitchen and then we moved from there ( for ex work outside, clean the bathroom, play with Naila, etc).
My stay was short only because I realised the location didn't really fit me as I felt a bit isolated, which was unfortunate because I would have loved to continue helping Kathia.
The house and caravan are about 15-20min walk to the nearest beach and 1h walk to Nerja (where you can find supermarkets, bar cafés etc). There are also bikes available but I didn't try them.

Had a wonderful experience staying with Katja and her very bright engaging creative daughter Naila. It was just a a short stay at short notice , so I am very thankful to Katja for letting me stay over the Christmas period and making me very welcome and feel at home. We. Began building a compost toilet and it was great just to chill in the comfy
… read more campervan. It’s a very tranquil place amongst lots of avocado trees down a quiet track , not far from the main coastal road. You can walk to Nerja and avoid the business of the traffic and take the beach path. Katya ‘s place is nestled between plesant hills. Katya is very warm hearted and engaging and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and pro- active in making sure you have what you need to carry out the task at hand. We have kept intouch and I consider her a sincere genuine kind soul. Thank you Katya and Naila. I will be seeing you very soon.

Ray is practical, precise and very creative. Our house and garden is still a work in process and I am so happy he came with all his skills and was part of our project!

… read more working skills, he’s a good-hearted person. He always added a small detail into our daily life to make us smile: a little gift, he picked us some fruits, bought us a chocolate 👌🏼✨🙂
Plus, he is a creative soul and we share some similar world views, which is nice and connected us pretty fast.
Also i had an accupuncture session with him and he showed me how to us MOXA (Chinese medecine!). I love to discover new things 👏🏼👏🏼

Brief overview:
Vitaly and Masha stayed with us for two weeks and helped us with various tasks.
Masha painted with me two amazing murals in the house. I love them so much - I am so happy to look at them every day!!
… read more Masha quickly understood and implemented my wishes and ideas. She's a talented girl! Also my daughter loved Masha - they played beautifully with each other and they painted quite a lot together.
Vitaly helped to paint as well. Not a mural but the walls in my bedroom. It’s so cozy now! Also, he continued to build the outdoor toilet with a lot of skill and clever upcycling ideas. In general he supported me with many practical things. Sometimes, if he didn't know something (e.g. how to build or install something), he took the time to research the matter and he immediately found a solution!
These two are easygoing, empathetic and just radiate a harmonious vibe. They’re two dreamers and also makers, two creative souls who are talented and make the most of everything. Our conversations were deep and always flowing - everything came so naturally and felt so beautiful uncomplicated and familiar.
Also I am glad we could enjoy one of Vitaly‘s tea ceremonies in the very end, which was also an absolute new and enriching experience for us!
I know we will see each other again - you guys are always welcomed here! Kisses and good luck on your further journey!!! 🙏🏻🌟👏🏼✨💫
We were happy to begin our Workaway experience with such an open-minded, easy-going family with Ukrainian roots and soul.
We stayed in a charming vintage camper in the garden, complete with our own kitchen. Our daily routine involved three hours of creative DIY tasks and wall paintings, leaving us plenty of free time to explore Nerja on the
… read more bicycles provided and engage in our routine activities like yoga and tea ceremonies.
We loved this experience and felt like family and good friends. We look forward to organizing some events together soon and visiting this place again to see how it has changed. :)
This unforgettable journey included deep conversations, new discoveries like a cacao ceremony, and a visit to a hippy commune in Maro.
We love you, Katia and Neilia! Sending warm hugs and see you soon :)

… read more from the heart. I had a somewhat difficult time after the floods in Andalusia and he supported me with motivation like a good friend. He also did a lot of things on his own initiative.
Plus we talked for hours with Joe!!!!😄😁 We shared stories about travel, adventure and pretty much everything - I like his attitude towards people and Life which is similar to my views!

We stayed in a nice vintage van for the first time and it was surreal😍 it was cozy and so cool, we cooked in the van kitchen and watched the sunset from it ☀️
Perfect location, we went swimming in the sea almost every day and went on hikes!😍 not to mention the yummy fruits and mangos there 🤤
Highly recommended and would definitely revisit or hope to meet somewhere else❤️❤️

First of all: Any host can be very lucky to have them as workawayers at their place. They helped me out a lot during the big chaos in my house (two unexpected floods). they were lovely, patient and very very helpful.

… read more cleaning tricks ;) and always did the tasks with care and motivation. I felt comfortable to ask her about the tasks, she felt like a friend who really wants good for you and support you. PS she prepared delicious Jordan Food!
Yann: From the very first day I had the intuitive feeling that I can rely on him. He asks by himself where and what he can do - I think it‘s wonderful when people have self-initiative. You can feel he‘s a good person, and very respectful and really attentive. He painted the pool area and some walls outside, plus he did some handy work in the garden and inside the house. Very efficient and helpful!
As a couple they bring so much peace and harmony into a space! My daughter loved them both.
