To find out more about who we are and what we are looking for PLEASE READ ABOUT US BEFORE APPLYING :)
Voluntary work exchange position available in the gardens for room and board. If you would like to learn about vegetable growing, flower production and tending our walled garden then please do not hesitate to message, some one machine capable always a help as we use some garden tools and leaf blowers.
PAID WORK: Workawayers who possesses a PPS number (you need it to legally work in Ireland) are offered paid work. Your shift will include weekends. We will pay at least the minimum hourly wage for every hour worked and provide free accommodation. If you are a non-EU national you will need to present the correct visa or permit to work in Ireland.
Please note:
- work does involve some heavy lifting and requires a willingness to be flexible (might not be suitable for everyone)
- we will only take Workawayers who already possesses PPS number. We can not provide work papers for you
- we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot accept Workawayers travelling with pets
- please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary requirements
At the moment we are looking for:
- Someone to help in and around the house for at least 3 months! Mostly cleaning jobs, transporting beer kegs and crates, restocking, helping with breakfast setup, washup in the kitchen,...
We have a unique and very busy wedding venue located in the heart of the country. The house is a 17th century country house and there is 76 acres of woodland and a private lake with lots of interesting wild life. We have lots of local people employed who have a real interest and passion for this house and the area. During the high season we host a lot of weddings so positive attitude and willingness to work and learn is highly appreciated.

Travelers can benefit by seeing how a wedding venue runs and by meeting people from all over the world. We also have a really good team of staff from the local community who are very friendly and who can give you a good insight into life in Ireland. All our staff and Workawayers are very friendly and helpful. Nenagh is a vibrant town with lots of local shops and good transport. We have a boat on the lake facing the house that makes for a lovely adventure on Lough Ourna.

A good work ethic and enthusiasm are important as well as working in the team. Shifts will occasionally start at 6:30 in the morning. 3 months minimum stay.

A semi-private bedroom and semi-private bathroom (please see our photos for more info). Bed linen and towels are provided. If you have a sweet tooth, you won't resist our chef's freshly made desserts :)
We have private bedroom available as well (showers and toilets are provided in the main house).

Nenagh is only 3 miles (5 km) away and people can give you a lift to Nenagh. Cycling to Nenagh is possible but only for adventurous Workawayers aware of the Irish way of driving. The castle and town are very interesting. Lots of transportation to all the nearby cities. Limerick city is 40 km away. Dublin airport is 2 and a half hours away with regular buses to Nenagh. The easiest way to get to Nenagh from Dublin airport is by bus, check out JJ Kavanagh & Sons (line 735) for further information.

Fiona and Lia have been a great help around the garden, in the house with guests and in the kitchen. They see work that has to be done and work independently! They always had a smile on their faces and were friendly to everyone. It was a pleasure to host them and I would recommend them to any host.

Very well stay! The house and the surroundings are really stunning! The work isn't hard and difficult. Nenagh is very nice little city and you are close to Limerick... The staff is very friendly and helpful and I can just recommended!
