  Hello,
  Who wants to come and hack through the beautiful Irish Landscape with me?
  And ride up to 3 horses a day . You will also lunge them and be responsible for keeping the horses and tack clean. You will have to skip out on 3 evenings of the week (or turn the horses out over night) and skip them out in the mornings and evenings at the weekend you'll have 2 days a week off.
  And you can ride 5 days a week.
  We are looking for an experienced and adaptable horse rider to stay for at least 3 month, please don't apply if you are not an experienced rider or cannot stay that long.
  
  You also need to walk the dogs when I am away working in Dublin and my daughter is in school. I stay in Dublin 2 nights a week and she stays in her school 2 nights a week.
  I work from home for 4 days a week, so we could ride together then. We have a lot of fields to hack across, we have gallops and also a riding arena. The dogs accompany us when we go riding.
  
  I can teach you when we ride together and our International dressage and showing instructors comes one weekend a month to teach us all.
  
  You need to be mature, preferably 22 years old or older, someone who can work independently, understands that I also need time for my own work and need some private time with my daughter and that I cannot mind you as if you were a child. I need a grown up who enjoys helping and is not personally hurt when I ask them to things in a certain way.
  
  Please only apply if you are a good rider, who has a lot of riding experience. We have stallions and young horses here, so please don't apply if you cannot ride to intermediate level. Look at our profile pictures to get an idea of the level of riding we require.
  I will ask you to send a video of your riding skills, before you come- so I know that it is safe for you to ride our horses and ponies and it is also not good for my well schooled horses to be ridden by someone who is not an adequate rider.
  I am happy to teach you, while riding with you. Depending on your riding skills- we will pay you €100 per week, if you are an EU citizen. You will have to get a tax nmb, which I will help you with. But you will not have to pay tax, as the earnings are not big enough for that. this money of course is on top of food.
  
  You eat with us on 5 evenings a week. One two evenings we require family time. And you can cook for yourself in your own kitchen, shared with another workaway.You will make your own breakfast and lunch there as well.
  
  You have your own spacious double bedroom, bathroom and living room with a kitchen area as well. The whole house is heated with wood-burning stoves, so you will have to keep the stove in your living room going by refilling logs twice a day.
  
  You don't have to have perfect English, but it needs to be good enough to understand us, as it can become dangerous if you don't understand what people say when you are working around farm animals.
  
  Minimum stay is 3 month, shorter stays just are not long enough to be a part of our family and farm.
  
  
  We have a farm with ponies, dogs, ducks, cattle, chicken and goats but I am a socially engaged environmental artist and do projects with communities through which I encourage them to be part of shaping their own environment through actively engaging with it. I also teach environmental and socially engaged art and landscape architecture at 3 different universities in Dublin.
  When I am at home we will eat together most nights , you can come to horse and other events with us, but you will have time to spend by yourself. It is important to me to have some time for myself and with my daughter. So you need to respect that too and give me space when I am sitting in my work- room or playing with my daughter. Equally, I will respect your private zone.
  
  The farm is in the centre of Ireland, in Westmeath: 90km from Dublin in beautiful rolling countryside.
  
  So please only contact me if you are a good flatwork rider who has ridden 3 year old horses before and you are a mature independent person over the age of 22.
  
  Driving licence is not a requirement We will let you borrow our car twice a week for going to town for shopping etcetera... if you are over 26. Otherwise the car insurance does not allow for that.

  We offer:
  your own apartment with your own double bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and a living room with a wood burning stove.
  We will eat supper together on 4 days when I am there and we love chatting and sharing experiences and discussing the day.
  Minimum stay 3 month, longer possible- shorter sadly not

  We offer plenty opportunity to ride: Dressage, jumping and cross country jumping.
  And you can improve your English while you are here.
  
  It is a fantastic chance to live on an Irish organic horse stud. You can learn a lot about how horses behave as the animal they truly should be. They are brought up in herds on large fields. In the spring we ride out to see if a new foal has been born every day. Later on in the year, the stallions get turned out with the mares: A unique chance to understand how horses can live a horse life, as opposed to being brought up in a confined area.
