  We, a german couple in the end-50s have a new dream...Our plan enjoy the natural mediterrean spirit of the independent people from this island, world-traveller, a lot of dreams, and some came true, like living here on this famous island, you know...
  we on the way developing our new project, the idea is party self-sufficent with food from surrounding land.
  I would like to inform you that we are not running our project for profit or commercial gain. It is a completely private venture.
  We would like to continue completing our house so that it becomes even more comfortable to live in. We are already very far along.
  It is a beautiful little mountain village where you can relax and unwind. Marvel at the free-roaming cows and donkeys that can often be found on the streets.

  Wir, ein deutsches Ehepaar Ende 50, haben einen neuen Traum... Unser Plan ist es, den natürlichen mediterranen Geist der unabhängigen Menschen dieser Insel zu genießen, Weltreisende, viele Träume, von denen einige wahr geworden sind, wie zum Beispiel hier auf dieser berühmten, geschichtsträchtigen Insel zu leben...
  Wir sind dabei, unser neues Projekt zu entwickeln, die Idee ist, sich teilweise selbst mit Lebensmitteln aus der Umgebung zu versorgen.
  Ich möchte Sie darauf hinweisen, dass wir unser Projekt nicht aus Profit- oder kommerziellen Gründen betreiben. Es handelt sich um ein rein privates Unterfangen.
  Wir möchten unser Haus fertigstellen, damit es noch komfortabler wird. Wir sind bereits sehr weit fortgeschritten.
  Es ist ein wunderschönes kleines Bergdorf, in dem Sie sich entspannen und erholen können. Bewundern Sie die frei herumlaufenden Kühe und Esel, Ziegen und Schafe, die oft auf den Straßen zu sehen sind.

I believe that Workaway is not just a platform for exchanging work for accommodation, but also a way for us to get to know new cultures and people. I always try to show my guests lots of places and introduce them to people. I like serious, tidy, and clean people, both at home and at work, but at the same time, I also like crazy and funny people.
  
  Du wirst die ländliche Umgebung lieben. Es ist leicht, mit den Einheimischen ins Gespräch zu kommen. Die Einheimischen sagen zu mir: „Bringe noch tausend Menschen wie Dich in unser Dorf.“
  Auf Sardinien gibt es verschiedene Thermalquellen, die Du kostenlos besuchen kannst. Eine davon befindet sich auch in der Nähe (Therme Aurora).
  Wir mögen ein produktives und geschäftiges Leben, aber andererseits lieben wir auch Entspannung und schöne Momente des Austauschs und des Vergnügens.
  Ich denke, dass Workaway nicht nur eine Plattform für den Austausch von Arbeit gegen Unterkunft ist, sondern auch eine Möglichkeit für uns, neue Kulturen und Menschen kennenzulernen. Ich versuche immer, meinen Gästen viele Orte zu zeigen und sie mit Menschen bekannt zu machen.

  We are currently in the organizational and development phase of our self-sufficiency project, which will then at least partially provide for ourselves; anything else would be a pipe dream these days.
  Our plan is to enjoy the natural Mediterranean spirit of the independent people of this island. We have many dreams, some of which have already come true, such as living here on this famous island, you know...
  We are in the process of developing our new project, a small 2-story Sardinian house in the countryside of Burgos in the center of the island. For this project, we need a few helping hands to support us.
  
  The house project is almost finished, there are just a few minor things left to do: plastering and painting, repairing the tile joints on the terrace, redesigning an existing lower terrace so that you can walk on a natural stone floor and also have plants on it.
  And a few other things around the house to make it more attractive.
  There is still a lot to do in the garden, such as removing unwanted plants from the flower beds, building a fence around the garden, and building a chicken coop and a rabbit hutch. We are also planning to get donkeys; there are special white donkeys here.
  It would be a dream to enjoy hiking with the donkeys. We are already working on the olive trees, have planted some new fruit trees, and would like to create vegetable beds, tend to the grapevines, etc. We protect and care for the newly planted trees.

  Wir suchen Ihre Unterstützung ab ca. Mitte März 2026, wobei im März das genaue Datum noch unsicher ist.
  
  Wenn Du auch Freude daran hast, zu sehen, wie Dinge nach einem Arbeitstag wachsen, dann bist Du genau der/die Richtige für uns, getreu dem Motto „Was getan werden muss, muss getan werden“.
  Wenn Du handwerklich begabt sind, ist das ebenfalls willkommen, aber nicht unbedingt erforderlich.
  Du solltest wissen wie man einen Nagel in eine Wand haut etc.pp und natürlich bereit sein alles andere ebenso lernen zu wollen und anzupacken, was Du noch nicht drauf hast, genau dafür haben wir das komplizierteste Werkzeug an unseren Armen angebaut, unsere Hände. Klar gibt es Vorlieben.
  Dein Gastgeber ist selbst Bau-Handwerker und verfügt über jahrzehntelange Erfahrung im Bereich Renovierung.
  Wir befinden uns derzeit in der Organisations- und Entwicklungsphase unseres Selbstversorgungsprojekts, welches uns dann zumindest zu einem Teil selbst versorgt, alles andere wäre Träumerei heutzutage.
  Unser Plan ist es, den natürlichen mediterranen Geist der unabhängigen Menschen dieser Insel zu genießen. Wir haben viele Träume, von denen einige bereits wahr geworden sind, wie zum Beispiel hier auf dieser berühmten Insel zu leben, wissen Sie...
  Wir sind dabei, unser neues Projekt zu entwickeln, ein kleines 2-stöckiges sardisches Haus im Umland von Burgos im Zentrum der Insel. Für dieses Projekt brauchen wir ein paar helfende Hände, die uns unterstützen.
  Das Hausprojekt ist fast fertig, es sind nur noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten zu erledigen: Verputzen und Streichen, Ausbessern der Fliesenfugen auf der Terrasse, Gestaltung einer bestehenden tiefer gelegenen Terrasse, sodass man auf einem Natursteinboden laufen und auch Pflanzen darauf haben kann.
  Und noch ein paar andere Dinge rund um das Haus verschönern.
  Im Garten gibt es noch viel zu tun, zum Beispiel das Beet von unerwünschten Pflanzen befreien, einen Zaun um den Garten bauen, einen Hühnerstall und einen Kaninchenstall bauen. Wir planen auch, uns Esel zu zulegen, hier gibt es spezielle weiße Esel.
  Ein Traum wäre mit den Esel Wanderungen zu genießen. Wir arbeiten bereits an den Olivenbäumen, haben einige neue Obstbäume gepflanzt, und möchten Gemüsebeete anlegen, pflegen die Weinreben usw. Wir schützen und pflegen die neu gepflanzten Bäume.

  You will have your own bed and one meal a day here in a beautiful, clean room with a hot shower and a 2500 m² garden with olive, grape and some fruit trees near Burgos in the centre of the island.
  
  The village is called Esporlatu, a small village with 396 inhabitants nestled in the stunning central mountains of Sardinia.
  
  The house is located on the southern edge of the village. From here, it's much easier to get around the island by car than from other locations.

  Du bekommst Dein Bett und täglich eine Mahlzeit hier in einem schönen, sauberen Zimmer mit warmer Dusche und einem 2500 m² großen Garten mit Oliven-, Wein- und einigen Obstbäumen in der Nähe von Burgos im Zentrum der Insel.
  Das Dorf heißt Esporlatu, ein kleines Dorf mit 396 Einwohnern in den wunderschönen zentralen Bergen Sardiniens.
  Das Haus liegt am südlichen Rand des Dorfes. Von hier aus ist es viel einfacher, mit dem Fahrzeug überall auf der Insel hinzukommen als von anderen Orten aus.

  home is located just 30 minutes from the nearest large town, Nuoro, in a beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking Burgos Castle and the surrounding olive groves and oak forests. We are surrounded by famous attractions such as the Foresta Burgos, where white donkeys are bred, Burgos Castle and the nearby hot springs.
  Here, nature takes centre stage. The views are breathtaking, the air is clean, and life moves at its own pace.
  Here, in the center of the island, the tourist crowds found on Sardinia's coasts rarely come. Many Sardinians speak German, and some speak English, having spent several years working abroad as guest workers. It's easy to strike up a conversation with the locals. Nature lovers will love the rural surroundings. The area is covered with olive groves, vineyards, vegetable gardens, and oak forests. Many keep their own pigs as pets and dogs to herd the goats and sheep. Horses are also an integral part of the landscape, and you often see proud riders, usually in the evening when the work is done and the horses are being exercised.   Beste Voraussetzungen, um alles zu genießen!
  Aufgrund der Tatsache daß meine Frau nicht immer dabei sein kann, suchen wir Männer oder Paare!
  Unser Haus liegt nur 30 Minuten von der nächsten größeren Stadt, Nuoro, entfernt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung mit Blick auf die Burg von Burgos und die umliegenden Olivenhaine und Eichenwälder. Wir sind umgeben von berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Foresta Burgos, wo weiße Esel gezüchtet werden, der Burg von Burgos und den nahe gelegenen heißen Quellen.
  Hier steht die Natur im Mittelpunkt. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, die Luft ist sauber und das Leben verläuft in seinem eigenen Tempo.
  Hier im Zentrum der Insel kommen die Touristenmassen, die man an den Küsten Sardiniens findet, selten hin.
  Viele Sarden sprechen Deutsch, einige sprechen Englisch, da sie mehrere Jahre als Gastarbeiter im Ausland gearbeitet haben. Es ist leicht, mit den Einheimischen ins Gespräch zu kommen.
  Naturliebhaber werden die ländliche Umgebung lieben. Die Gegend ist mit Olivenhainen, Weinbergen, Gemüsegärten und Eichenwäldern bewachsen. Viele halten ihre eigenen Schweine als Haustiere und Hunde, um die Ziegen und Schafe zu hüten. Auch Pferde sind ein fester Bestandteil der Landschaft, und oft sieht man stolze Reiter, meist am Abend, wenn die Arbeit getan ist und die Pferde bewegt werden. Fast immer hört man die Glocken der Schafe und Ziegen.
  In den Bergen kannst Du großartige Wanderungen unternehmen.
  Auf ganz Sardinien gibt es verschiedene Thermalquellen, die man besuchen sollte. Eine davon befindet sich auch in der Nähe (Therme Aurora).
  Lerne die Traditionen, Spezialitäten, Musik und Feste der Sarden kennen. Insbesondere in den kälteren Monaten gibt es wieder viel mehr davon als im Sommer.
  Du kannst die Insel auf eigene Faust mit Bus und Bahn und mit uns auf unseren Ausflügen erkunden...
