Description
Who are we? Two friends, Stefan (29) and Thimo (30). We met over 25 years ago on my first holiday in Greece and now we both live here and have small private farms that involve a lot of work and a lot of fun. We are united by our love of nature, olives and living simply and consciously with each other and with nature. We cultivate around 200 olive trees and pursue our shared idea of sustainable, nature-oriented agriculture. We would like to combine traditional methods with new, creative approaches, which is why we are always happy to welcome people who want to contribute their own ideas and projects and try them out.
Our lives mainly take place in two locations. Thimo's estate, slightly elevated on a hill with beautiful views over the neighbouring villages and the Messinian Gulf. Up there, you can relax, experience nature and watch impressive sunsets. Stefan's estate is closer to the sea and the village, where you can feel the Greek way of life. Bars and stalls are also within easy reach from here. Both places complement each other perfectly. Retreat and tranquillity, culture and proximity to everyday life.
The work involved in olive cultivation is varied and depends entirely on the season. Tree care, light gardening and farm work, and creative projects. You can expect all of this. We prefer people who are open, respectful, curious, and willing to work at their own pace.
In our free time we also spend a lot of time in nature. When the waves allow it, we enjoy going surfing and sometimes simply spend a day at the beach. When the weather is good and the sea is calm, we go on mountain hikes or take exploration trips through old Greek mountain villages.
Wer sind wir? Zwei Freunde, Stefan (29) und Thimo (30). Kennen Gelernt haben wir uns vor über 25Jahren auf meinem ersten Griechenland Urlaub, nun leben wir beide hier und haben Private kleine „Farmen“ mit jeder Menge Arbeit und Spaß. Uns verbindet die liebe zur Natur, Oliven und das einfache, bewusste zusammen Leben miteinander und mit der Natur. Wir bewirtschaften ca 200 Olivenbäume und verfolgen die gemeinsame Idee einer nachhaltigen, naturverbundenen Landwirtschaft. Dabei würden wir gerne traditionelle Methoden mit neuen, kreativen Ansätzen verbinden und deswegen freuen wir uns immer über Menschen die eigenen Ideen und Projekte einbringen und ausprobieren wollen.
Unser Leben spielt sich hauptsächlich an zwei Orten ab. Thimos Anwesen, leicht erhöht auf einem Hügel mit wunderschönen Blick über die angrenzenden Dörfer und den Messianischen Golf. Dort oben kommt man zur Ruhe, erlebt die Natur und sieht beeindruckende Sonnenuntergänge. Stefans Anwesen befindet sich näher am Meer und am Dorf, wo man das Griechische Leben spüren kann. Auch Bars und Stände sind von hier leicht zu erreichen. Beide Orte ergänzen sich perfekt. Rückzug und Stille, Kultur und Nähe zum Alltag.
Die Arbeit rund um die Oliven ist vielfältig und hängt ganz von der Jahreszeit ab. Pflege der Bäume, leichte Garten und Hofarbeit und kreative Projekte. Alles das kann euch erwarten. Am liebsten hätten wir Menschen die offen, respektvoll, neugierig, und bereit sind, im eigenen Tempo mitzuarbeiten.
In der Freizeit unternehmen wir auch viel in der Natur. Wenn es die Wellen zulassen gehen wir auch gerne Surfen und verbringen einen tag auch einfach mal am Strand. Wenn Wetter gut und das Meer ruhig ist werden Bergtouren oder Erkundungstouren durch alte Griechische Bergdörfer unternommen.

Thimo and I believe that everyone can learn something from everyone else, and that's precisely what makes exchanging ideas with others so valuable. With us, you can experience Greek life firsthand. We could also discuss olive cultivation, tree care, harvesting techniques, soil health, humus, composting, and much more. We enjoy sharing our knowledge and are always eager to learn new things. Be curious and bring your own ideas!
Ich und Thimo glauben daran, dass jeder von jedem etwas lernen kann und genau das macht den Austausch mit anderen umso wertvoller. Bei uns könnt ihr das Griechische Leben kennenlernen. Gleichzeitig könnten wir uns über Olivenanbau, Pflege der Bäume, Erntetechniken, Bodengesundheit, Humus, Kompostieren und vieles mehr austauschen. Wir teilen gerne Wissen und freuen und auch neues zu lernen. Seid neugierig und bringt viele eigenen Ideen mit.
Aide
The tasks and work change throughout the year are always based on the seasons. In the winter months, the focus is on the olive harvest and all the work that goes with it. This includes harvesting the olives themselves, caring for the trees, and everything else that needs to be done during the harvest season. This time is busier but just as sociable and a very enjoyable communal experience.
Once the harvest work is complete, all the tasks that couldn't be done during the harvest need to be taken care of, and there is also time for your own creative projects. Throughout the year, there is also the opportunity to help out at an animal wellfare organisation. They are always happy to have extra hands :)
All other work can include repairs, crafts, gardening or whatever your heart desires.
Die aufgaben und Arbeiten verändern sich bei uns im Laufe des Jahres und richten sich immer nach den Jahreszeiten. In den „Winter“ Monaten liegt der Fokus auf der Olivenernte und allen dazugehörigen Arbeiten.Dazu zähle das ernten der Oliven selbst, die Pflege der Bäume, und alles was noch so während der Erntezeit anfällt. Diese Zeit ist arbeitsreicher aber mindestens so gesellig und ein sehr schönen gemeinschaftliches Erlebnis.
Sobald die Arbeiten rund um die Ernte abgeschlossen sind, müssen alle arbeiten die während der Ernte keinen Platz hatten erledigt werden und es findet sich auch zeit für eigene kreative Projekte. Ganzjährig besteht auch die Möglichkeit bei einer Tierschutzorganisation zu helfen. Die freuen sich immer über helfende Hände:)

Hébergement
Since we have two properties, we can be very flexible with accommodation and will try to offer every traveller a pleasant place to stay. Stefan's property has a large living room that we use as a sleeping area. Beds and mattresses are provided, making it very comfortable. In addition, there is a spacious olive grove with plenty of room for camping or pitching tents.
At Thimo's property, there is a small wooden hut with a cosy bed. This place is particularly quiet and close to nature. Depending on your wishes and our current projects, we will find the perfect place for you to sleep.
Cooking Together is a great way to share different cultures. Most of the Time we will cook and eat together and if not the will be provided ingredients.
Da es bei uns ja zwei Anwesen gibt könne wir bei der Unterkunft sehr Flexibel sein und werden versuchen jedem Reisenden einen Angenehmen Platz zu bieten. Bei Stefan’s Anwesen gibt es ein Großes Wohnzimmer das wir als Schlafbereich nutzen. Fort stehen Betten und Matratzen bereit, die es sehr bequem machen. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Großzügigen Olivenhain mit viel Platz zum Campen bzw Zelten.
Bei Thimo’s Anwesen steht eine kleine Holzhütte mit einem Gemütlichen Bett zur Verfügung. Dieser Platz ist besonders ruhig und naturverbunden. Je nach euren Wünschen und unseren Aktuellen Projekten finden wir einen Perfekten Schlafplatz für dich.
