Cris and Felipe are excellent workaways. They are enthusiastic about doing anything you ask of them. They complete tasks with dedication and skill. Both take on extra jobs without being told when they see something that needs to be done. They are a very easy couple to be with and both have a great sense of humour. They want to work and help out.
… read more They show initiative and independence and it was a great joy to us that they enjoyed the outdoors using their bicycles to find trails to explore. In spite of limited English skills communication was enhanced by google translate. They are friendly, honest and very helpful. I highly recommend this couple.

My husband and I stayed with Bernhard and Cheryl for 2 months at the beginning of the year. We did not intend on staying for so long but almost immediately felt completely at home. We were welcomed in like part of the family and given all the freedom and space you can expect from excellent Workaway hosts.
We had our own bedroom and bathroom with
… read more views over the garden. In terms of work, we were given freedom to put skills we had to use in their house and garden and they were always very appreciative of any job we did. One highlight being Joey build a shelving unit for Cheryls workshop which she was so pleased about. When weather allowed, we worked in the garden getting it ready for Summer and Bernhard let me have free reign in his kitchen to cook and bake for us all. He is an excellent chef so we were extremely well fed when we stayed there. Bern taught me a few authentic recipes which was such a treat!
We enjoyed many movies and meals together, lots of talking round the table and shared many stories. It was a warm homely environment and we loved our stay with these guys.

Zoe and Lise have been back 3 times to stay with us. Each time we’ve enjoyed their energy and positive relationship with each other as best friends. They are hard working, eager and easy to get along with. We’ve laughed long and hard with these two young women. They maintained the inside and outside of our log house, dusting and cleaning off the
… read more logs, making meals, and sharing in whatever projects we had going. They also enjoyed the outdoors, going to Jasper, doing some kayaking, and sight seeing. They are wonderful young women, very personable, and would be an asset to any workaway host.

We stayed about 4 weeks at Cheryl’s and Bernhard’s place and we loved it so much. The food was just amazing and so was the company. What was supposed to be 3 weeks turned into just 2 months! The time we were at the house was very pleasant! We learned a lot, had a lot of fun, had excellent meals and got to know the region well, which is amazing.
And best of all, we had the super nice and special company of Cheryl and Ben, whom we call friends now. There were many good times and

About the job, we did a variety of things: we sanded wood and varnished it, painted a wall, pruned some branches, cleaned glass, helped to make sausages, ... Ben was almost always there, directing us. It was a great learning experience for us!
It was difficult to say goodbye, but we will certainly meet again. =)

They're wonderful and kind people. They have a beautiful house with an amazing view of the mountains from their windows. I felt too much love since I got there.

I just spent two weeks there and it was amazing. They are so welcoming and nice people. The food was delicious! I am going to come back for sure, I really enjoyed my stay. Definitely a wonderful place to go and to have fun. And the view on the mountains from their house is so beautiful!
