Hi! My name is Lizanne and I’m from Germany. I’m currently on my Work & Travel year in Canada and I'm looking forward to meeting new people, learning new skills, and exploring this beautiful country. I’m open-minded, creative, friendly, and always ready to help wherever I’m needed – whether it’s in a café, hostel, on a farm, or with outdoor projects.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked in housekeeping in Whistler for 4 months during the winter season. My job was cleaning guest rooms and common areas and making sure everything looked nice and welcoming for guests. It could get pretty busy, so I learned to work fast while still paying attention to details. I also worked a lot with my team and helped make sure everything was ready for new guests during the busy winter time.

I worked at a restaurant in Vancouver as a server and hostess, which I really enjoyed.

I also did volunteer experience on a farm, where I worked with dogs, cats, cows, and other animals. During that time, I also helped at a glamping place, doing housekeeping, cleaning the tents, making beds and doing laundry.

I have also been babysitting for one year for a family with four children between the ages of 1 and 7, plus a dog. I went there regularly, about two to three times a week, for several hours each visit.

I’m looking forward to gaining even more experience during my Work and Travel year! :)

We had a great time staying here. The work was fair and clearly explained and the Kelsey and Kurtis were very nice and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the bonfire and making s'mores together. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to other Workawayers. Thank you for having us!

It was great to have Lizanne at our acreage. She and Bartozs were both very friendly and easy to have around. They were very willing to do any task that we gave them and followed through with each request. They were good with our kids who really enjoyed having them around. I would definitely recommend hosting both of them!

Staying with Cheryl and Bernhard was the best Workaway I ever did! From the very beginning we felt welcomed and comfortable. Lizanne, worked very hard and always did a great job. she was a pleasure to be around and helpful in the kitchen and clean up after meals. I believe she and her partner Bartzos enjoyed Canmore and Banff and did a number of climbs and hikes.
