Hello! We are a family composed of a mother (Naima), a father (Dario), and a one-and-a-half-year-old son (Giulio Rei). We live in Tuscany, near the wonderful city of Lucca. We are looking for a native Spanish speaker who will be able to speak Spanish with the family, play with little Giulio Rei for a few hours a day, and help with housework. Who are we? The mother: My name is Naima, I am 40 years old and a full-time mother. I have traveled extensively and worked in many fields (including as an au pair in South Africa, the United States, and England). I am a calm, serene, patient, and kind person. I would like to learn Spanish to finish university. The father: My name is Dario, I am 36 years old and I love the sea, snorkeling, and the mountains. I like being outdoors and taking care of plants, which is why I am a gardener. I am a patient, kind, enthusiastic, and sociable person. The child: My name is Giulio Rei, but everyone calls me simply Giulio. I'm one and a half years old. I'm calm, serene, and cheerful. I almost never cry, so far I don't throw tantrums, and I eat almost everything I'm given. We're a calm, serene family with habits and a fairly normal diet. Giulio and I try to use our phones as little as possible, we eat healthy, and we try to do outdoor activities (when possible, although Naima is very lazy, but she does what she can for Giulio).

Somos una familia compuesta por mamá (Naima), papá (Dario) y un pequeño de un año y medio (Giulio Rei). Vivimos en la Toscana, cerca de la maravillosa ciudad de Lucca.
Buscamos a una persona nativa de español que hable español con la familia, que juegue algunas horas al día con el pequeño Giulio Rei y que ayude con las tareas del hogar.

La madre:
Me llamo Naima, tengo 40 años y soy madre a tiempo completo.
He viajado mucho y he trabajado en muchos ámbitos (incluyendo au pair en Sudáfrica, Estados Unidos e Inglaterra).
Soy una persona tranquila, serena, paciente y amable.
Me gustaría aprender español para terminar la universidad.
El padre:
Me llamo Darío, tengo 36 años y me encanta el mar, el snorkel, pero también la montaña. Me gusta estar al aire libre, cuidar las plantas y por eso soy jardinero. Soy una persona paciente, amable, entusiasta y sociable.
El retoño:
Me llamo Giulio Rei, pero todos me llaman simplemente Giulio.
Tengo un año y medio. Soy tranquilo, sereno y alegre. Casi nunca lloro, por ahora no hago rabietas y como casi todo lo que me dan.
Somos una familia tranquila, serena, con hábitos y bastante normal. Con Giulio intentamos usar el móvil lo menos posible, comemos sano, intentamos hacer actividades al aire libre (cuando es posible, aunque Naima es muy perezosa, pero hace lo que puede por Giulio).

The Au Pair will come into direct contact with Italian culture, especially the Tuscan and Lucca lifestyle. They will learn Italian, Italian recipes, experience a lifestyle different from their own, feel part of a family, and learn how to raise a child inspired by the teachings of Steiner and Montessori, and by practicing nonviolent communication. We are a very calm, family-oriented, and home-loving family. We organize dinners at home with our friends and visit relatives on weekends. Giulio is still young, and his needs and preferences are constantly changing. We hope to spend some time in the mountains or by the sea this winter. We would like the Au Pair to be interested in visiting Tuscany and Italy. We give them the weekend off (always Saturday and Sunday, and if necessary, Friday too) so that the Au Pair can travel freely and explore this beautiful peninsula. Traveling in Italy is affordable by plane (there are low-cost flights from Pisa with Ryanair and EasyJet), car-sharing services (such as Bla Bla Car), and train. We will gladly accompany the Au Pair to the station, bus stop, or airport when they want to take short trips around Italy. The Au Pair can travel during holidays like Christmas, Easter, or others. We will try to introduce them to people their own age so they can make friends and be independent. Giulio's uncle is 26, so we have some acquaintances his age that we would like the Au Pair to have. If the Au Pair is a good driver and a serious, responsible, and attentive person, we will gladly lend them our car. If the Au Pair would like to attend language courses in Lucca or Capannori (closer to home), we will be sure to accompany them or lend them our car to get to their courses. If the Au Pair would like to work in their free time, we will help them find a job that suits their personal needs.
La Au Pair entrará en contacto directo con la cultura italiana, especialmente con el estilo de vida toscano y lucciano.
Aprenderá italiano, recetas de cocina italiana, conocerá un estilo de vida diferente al suyo, se sentirá parte de una familia y aprenderá a criar a un hijo inspirándose en las enseñanzas de Steiner y Montessori, y poniendo en práctica la comunicación no violenta.
Somos una familia muy tranquila, familiar y hogareña. Organizamos cenas en casa con nuestros amigos y visitamos a familiares los fines de semana.
Giulio aún es pequeño y sus necesidades y preferencias cambian constantemente. Esperamos poder pasear un rato por la montaña o por el mar este invierno.
Nos gustaría que la Au Pair se interesara por visitar la Toscana e Italia. Le damos el fin de semana libre (siempre sábado y domingo, y si es necesario, también el viernes) para que la Au Pair pueda viajar tranquilamente y conocer esta hermosa península. En Italia se puede viajar por poco dinero en avión (hay vuelos de bajo coste desde Pisa con Ryanair y Easyjet), con servicios de coche compartido (como Bla Bla Car) y en tren.
Con gusto acompañaremos a la Au Pair a la estación, la parada de autobús o el aeropuerto cuando quiera hacer viajes cortos por Italia.
La au pair puede realizar viajes durante las vacaciones como Navidad, Semana Santa u otras.
Intentaremos presentarle a gente de su edad para que pueda hacer amigos y ser independiente.
El tío de Giulio tiene 26 años, así que tenemos algunos conocidos de su edad que nos gustaría que la Au Pair tuviera.
Si la Au Pair es buena conductora y una persona seria, responsable y atenta, con gusto le prestaremos el coche.
Si la Au Pair desea asistir a cursos de idiomas en Lucca o Capannori (más cerca de casa), nos aseguraremos de acompañarla o de prestarle el coche para que llegue a sus cursos.
Si la au pair desea trabajar en su tiempo libre, la ayudaremos a buscar un trabajo acorde a su aptitud personal.

We are looking for a native Spanish speaker who will play with little Giulio Rei for a few hours a day and help with household chores. We are looking for someone who is very calm, patient, has experience with young children (Giulio is 1 1/2 years old), lots of energy, eager to do things, and enthusiasm. We are also curious and eager to learn about Italian culture and language. They must be non-smokers and have a driver's license. We are most interested in learning Spanish for the whole family. So, the main task is to speak Spanish :) Every day, you will have to help out a little with Giulio (while Mom works or does some chores around the house, cooking, tidying, etc.), and you will have to help keep the house and garden clean and tidy (each family member will help keep the house clean and tidy. We will divide the chores or the days for doing the chores). In short: the Au Pair will be a bit of Mom's companion (hahaha!), Giulio's nanny, a lot of the Spanish "teacher," and sometimes the housekeeper. In exchange for the Au Pair's help, we can teach him Italian and/or English (his mother worked as a teacher in the past), we can teach him how to cook Italian dishes, and we can give him plenty of free time to travel around Italy, visit museums, cities, and get to know our wonderful country!

Buscamos a una persona muy tranquila, con mucha paciencia, con experiencia con niños pequeños (Giulio tiene 1 año y medio), mucha energía, ganas de hacer y entusiasmo, curiosa y con ganas de aprender sobre la cultura y el idioma italianos.
Tiene que no fumar y tener carnet de conducir.
Lo que más nos interesa es aprender español, para toda la familia. Así que la tarea principal es hablar español :)
Todos los días tendrás que ayudar un poco con Giulio (mientras mamá trabaja o hace algunas tareas en casa, cocinando, ordenando, etc.) y tendrás que ayudar a mantener la casa y el jardín limpios y ordenados (cada miembro de la familia ayudará a mantener la casa limpia y ordenada. Nos dividiremos las tareas o los días para hacer las tareas domésticas).
En resumen: la Au-pair serà un poquito la compañera de mamá (¡jajajaja!), la niñera de Giulio, mucho la "profesora" de español y algunas veces la ama de llaves.
A cambio de la ayuda de la Au Pair, podemos enseñarle italiano y/o inglés (su madre trabajó como profesora en el pasado), podemos enseñarle a cocinar platos italianos y podemos darle suficiente tiempo libre para viajar por Italia, visitar museos, ciudades y conocer nuestro maravilloso país!

Hébergement
The House: We live in a two-story house. On the ground floor, there is a beautiful, spacious, bright living room, a kitchen, a small dining room, a bathroom, and a small laundry room. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside, there is a medium-sized, fenced, child-safe garden. We do not have pets. The Au Pair's Room: The au pair will have her own private, fairly spacious room with a double bed and storage for her clothes and belongings. She will share both bathrooms with the family. Temperature: In winter, we keep the house heated to 16 degrees. We never heat it above 17 degrees. We have found that maintaining a constant temperature, without major variations with the outside air, makes us less sick. At first, it may seem very cold, but then the body gets used to it, and a good, thick sweater is enough to feel good. The Surroundings: We live in a very quiet and safe residential area. The house is located in a small hamlet in the municipality of Capannori, in the province of Lucca. In front of the house, there is a bus stop with links to Lucca. You can also get there by bike (20 minutes). To get from the house to any town, city, business, supermarket, etc., a car is required. The au pair can use our car when available. By bus, train, or car, you can reach within an hour: the sea (Viareggio, Livorno), the mountains (Barga, hiking trails), and famous cities such as Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Prato, and Pistoia. Food: Our family has no allergies and we do not follow a restrictive diet. In general, we eat healthy (whole grains, legumes, seasonal vegetables, a little meat and fish, but not too much) and we want to instill in Giulio a healthy and responsible lifestyle and diet. We accept pesquetarians, vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores. We would prefer not to have any au pairs with allergies.
La casa:
Vivimos en una casa de dos plantas.
En la planta baja hay un bonito y amplio salón luminoso, cocina, un pequeño comedor, un baño y un pequeño lavadero.
En la primera planta hay tres dormitorios y un baño.
En el exterior de la casa hay un jardín de tamaño mediano, vallado y seguro para el niño.
No tenemos mascotas.
La habitacion del la Au-Pair:
La au pair tendrá su propia habitación privada, bastante amplia, con una cama doble y espacio para guardar su ropa y pertenencias. Compartirá los dos baños con la familia.
Temperatura:
En invierno mantenemos la casa calentada a 16 grados. Nunca la calentamos por encima de los 17 grados. Hemos comprobado que mantener una temperatura constante, sin grandes variaciones con el exterior, nos enferma menos. Al principio puede parecer muy frío, pero luego el cuerpo se acostumbra y un buen suéter grueso es suficiente para sentirse bien.
El entorno:
Vivimos en una zona residencial muy tranquila y segura.
La casa se encuentra en una pequeña aldea del municipio de Capannori, en la provincia de Lucca.
Frente a la casa hay una parada de autobús que lleva a la ciudad de Lucca. También se puede llegar en bicicleta (20 minutos).
Para desplazarse desde la casa a cualquier pueblo, ciudad, negocio, supermercado, etc., se necesita coche. La Au Pair puede usar nuestro coche cuando esté disponible.
En autobús, tren o coche se puede llegar en 1 hora a: el mar (Viareggio, Livorno), la montaña (Barga, rutas de senderismo), ciudades famosas como Lucca, Florencia, Pisa, Prato, Pistoia.
Comida:
En la familia no tenemos alergias ni seguimos una dieta restrictiva.
En general, comemos sano (cereales integrales, legumbres, verduras de temporada, un poco de carne y pescado, pero no demasiado) y queremos transmitirle a Giulio un estilo de vida y una alimentación saludables y responsables.
Aceptamos personas pesquetarianas, vegetarianas, veganas y omnívoras.
Preferiríamos no tener ninguna au pair con alergias.

We're looking for someone who doesn't smoke and doesn't spend a lot of time on the phone or computer. We want the cell phone to be turned off when we're with Giulio.

We have Wi-Fi at home, so when the au pair isn't busy with us, she can work or study remotely. Since we try to avoid having screens near Giulio, the au pair can have a small desk in her room and work from there. If the au pair prefers to sleep in her van or RV, she can park it on our property. We do not have electricity or sewage connections. Since we have a young child, we only accept calm, quiet, and good-natured pets with children. Our space is fenced, making it safe for the animals.
