 - Description- 🌿 Welcome to the Barossa Valley! 🇦🇺
 Hey there!
I’m Kurt, a 34-year-old, easygoing Aussie who loves good company, travel, and the simple joys of life. I’ve been lucky enough to explore many countries around the world, and I’m always keen to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and share stories over a meal or a drink.
I live in the beautiful Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s top wine regions, on a 126-acre hobby farm surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and big open skies. If you love nature, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great place to slow down and enjoy Aussie country life.
 🏡 About the Farm
Our farm is home to Dorper sheep and my energetic Border Collie–Kelpie puppy, who always loves extra attention! There’s always something to do here — from helping out with the animals and general farm maintenance to odd jobs around the house and garden.
If you’re comfortable around animals (and don’t mind a bit of dirt), you’ll fit right in.
 💬 Language & Cultural Exchange
I’ve lived in Denmark and Norway, and I’m still learning Nordic languages, so I’d love to host travelers from Scandinavia who can help me practice Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, or even Icelandic. In exchange, you’ll get free accommodation, meals, and an authentic Aussie experience.
Of course, everyone is welcome — no matter where you’re from! The most important thing is a good attitude and a willingness to join in and have fun.
We would prefer at least 2 week stays. Nothing shorter please.
 🌞 What You’ll Get
Comfortable accommodation on the farm, private room with queen size bed.
All meals and basic expenses covered (you won’t pay for anything while you’re here)
The chance to learn about Aussie farm life, explore the Barossa, and enjoy a laid-back lifestyle
Great company, language exchange, and the occasional BBQ or local adventure
If you’re on a Working Holiday Visa, we may be able to help you count days toward your 88-day farm work requirement (we’re currently working on final approval for this).
Some paid work may also be available for jobs connected to the farm business — things like helping with the sheep, packing and sealing meat, making deliveries, or working at local farmers’ markets.
 🍷 Why Stay Here?
You’ll get to experience real Australian country life while meeting new people, improving your English (or helping me with my Nordic!), and exploring one of the most scenic regions in South Australia. It’s a relaxed, friendly place where everyone pitches in — and there’s always time for a laugh or a trip to a local winery.
 Cheers,
 Kurt

 - Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre- Travellers visiting the Barossa Valley will be immersed in Australia’s world-famous wine culture while experiencing the warmth and charm of true country life. Beyond the vineyards, they’ll discover stunning nature parks, wildlife reserves, and a range of unique local activities that offer an authentic taste of the Barossa’s rich lifestyle and community spirit.
 - Aide- 🌿 General Farm Help
There are always odd jobs to do around the property — small maintenance tasks, helping in the garden, tidying up, or giving me a hand with the sheep. Nothing too hard or boring — just real, everyday country life.
 Nordic Language Exchange
If you’re from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, or Iceland, I’d be extra thrilled to host you! I used to live in Denmark and Norway and have been learning Danish and Norwegian, but I still need lots of practice (and laughs along the way). In return, I’m happy to help with your English and give you an authentic taste of Aussie life.
 🌞 A Fair Exchange
All of the help is for personal and homestead projects only — not for business work. In exchange, you’ll get:
A private room on the farm
Home-cooked meals and all basic expenses covered
Time to explore the Barossa Valley, relax, and enjoy the sunshine
A friendly, easygoing host who loves good conversation and cultural exchange
If you enjoy hands-on projects, country life, and a bit of puppy chaos, you’ll fit right in here.
Business related work will be paid on top of accommodation and meals provided.
 Cheers,
 Kurt
