  Description

  Dear Valunteers,
  I live with my 13 year old daughter near a town of Thongphaphum, Kanchanaburi Province, in the tropical environment. I am looking for someone who can help my daughter in discovering her interests, exploring new skills. This is not formal schooling but supportive way for my daughter to learn at her own pace.
  
  Our home is pretty relaxed, we have lots of trees, dogs, cats and surrounded by nature, ideal for volunteers who enjoy slow living, cultural exchange and comfortable with animals and insects. Volunteers with kids are welcome.

  Staying with us offers a wonderful oppotunity for cultural exchange and sharing experiences. Our home is nestled in a tropical garden in lush area near the town of Thongphaphum about (4 km away from our home), in Kanchanaburi Province (150 km away from the city), where you can explore local life, markets, parks, waterfalls and hot springs.
  
  Our home is simple and nature-connected, offering a chance to experience everyday life in tropical setting.
  
  We welcome volunteers who are friendly, open-minded and enjoy a relaxed, simple slow-paced life surrounded by nature, ready to share their culture while helping guide, mentor and inspire a young learner.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone kind, compassionate and enthusiastic- Who enjoys mentoring, guiding and sharing skills with children. Who can help her feel more comfortable with learning and understands that some children may need a little extra encouragement and emotional support would a wonderful fit.
  
  You will spend around 2-3 hours each day assisting my 13-year-old daughter, who sometimes finds traditional learning environments challening. Your role will be to help create engaging learning experiences, hands-on activities that spark curiousity and self-expression. Since I dont't always have a structured plan and know what to teach her, I'd really appreciate your ideas and initiative in guiding her and making learning an enjoyable journey.
  
  You might : (These are just ideals-feel free to follow your own approach or suggest new activities that you think would be fun and engagging)
  
  - Plan and lead DIY projects, arts and crafts or creative exercise.
  - Introduce activities that encourage curiosity, imagination and creative thinking.
  -Introduce physical activities, such as yoga, walks, swimming or outdoor games.
  - Do cooking or other practical life skills projects.
  - Help her learn new language or improve her english reading and writing (optional)
  - Share your own skills, knowleadge and culture
  
  Volunteer Opportunities ( Spend 3-4 hours per day on these optional tasks)
  
  For those who don't have teaching experience or prefer other activities, there are optional tasks that you can help with instead. These can include taking care of the house, gardening, animal care (Walking the dogs ), cooking or general maintanance and small repairs. These are all optional and everything is flexible - you can choose what you feel excited about and enjoy contributing in a way that fits your skills and interests!
  
  One task where help would be greatly appreciated is caring for my nine dogs. They used to be stray so some can be quite anxious or unpredictable and imbalances. They would love someone who is comfortable with animals and can spend time walking, playing or just being with them. If you enjoy dogs or have experience with them, this is one optional volunteer opportunity you can choose to take on.

  We have a private cozy and clean room for volunteers. There are two beds and can accomodate one to three people . The room has an attached private bathroom and comes with small fridge and kettle for your convinience.
  
  Meals :
  I won't be able to cook meals for you. But you are welcome to share the kitchen with us and cook your own meals, and sometimes we might cook together, which can be fun.
  
  I am not a great cook and don't usually cook for others, but if you enjoy cooking, you are more than welcome to prepare a meal for us - I can provide the ingredients and we can enjoy it together. We can also discuss this further if you'd like to take on the cooking part.

  We are located about 4 km from the town of Thongphaphum, so having transport is useful. If a motorbike is available, you are welcome to borrow it to get around or it's possible to rent one locally.
  
  During your free time, you are welcome to explore on your own. Near by attractions include temples, the market is 4 km away, there are waterfalls and hot springs within 20-30 km and a park at the dam 8 km away, which is a peaceful spot that's good for walking and running. There is also a swimming pool in the town.
  
  I go to the local market a few times a week and you are wlecome to come along. Sometimes we can also go out together to explore the hot springs, eat out or visit nearby attractions.
  
  Our home is relaxed and natured-connected, so volunteers should be comfortable with animals, insects, a simple, peaceful lifestyle. We enjoy spending time together but also respect personal space, giving you plenty of freedom to explore or relax.
  
  Upon your arrival, I will be happy to pick you up from Thongphaphum bus or minivan stop.

  The internet connection is available, though it's not very fast.

  You are welcome to park in our garden area near the road ( no roof cover), so please keep in mind there may be some road noise. You can also use our simple bathroom facilities.
