Help with permaculture gardening and cooking and get involved in local events in Wolimierz, Poland

  Description

  Dear Workawayers,
  We are family of 4 people and 2 cats at the moment. We live in south-west Poland region of Izerskie mountains in village called Wolimierz. We rent a house with extraordinary garden. The house is one of the oldest in the village and one of the most beautiful in our opinion :-)
  Our kids (two boys) are 8 and 5 years old and are full of energy, both attending local school and kindergarden.
  We cooperate with local NGO that deals with ecological and cultural projects. We are also building our own small house, so as you imagine we are quite busy and can't manage with all just with our hands.
  At the moment we need mainly help in the garden and we would happy to host volunteers with experience.
  We both have wide experience of travelling and living in different countries. We love to spend time with travellers, talk and exchange thoughts and smiles :-) When we moved in there were volunteers in the house hosted by previous inhabitants of the house. I was a volunteer myself many times in my life and truly belive in the idea that is behind workaway and other volunteering projects.

  Living with our family is just one part of your stay - another one is experiencing our community and beautiful mountains. Apart of very interesting touristic locations like Czocha Castle or Frydlant Castle and many others historical places, there is a very famous cultural and art center in the village where a lot is happening - festivals, concerts, workshops, yoga lessons, etc. In other villages located nearby there are also a lot happening. Depending of your interest for sure you can find things for yourself. We are looking forward to talk to you and get to know you better to advice more about the exchange that would be the most interesting for you.

  Aide

  We mainly need help with the garden. It was established as permaculture one, but we don't have much experience with it and no time for it :-( It would be great if you have some experience with it. If some time is left you can cook sometimes (we love to learn new dishes), play with kids or help around the house. I think we would plan together our day or week - so you choose things you want to do and you like to do!

  Hébergement

  Your own room. There is also one room for a couple. The bathroom is shared.
  As for food - we can discuss what would be the most appropriate for you - eating with us or cooking for yourself.
