    Description

We are a 70+ couple, living in 17th century farmhouse. Restauration is in progress. We love each other , our place, the space, the view, the Tulikivi stoves.

We do not smoke, drink alcohol or use drugs. Eat healthy, home made whole food.

Altitude 500m, rural environment, dead end road, view on Vercors and pre-Alpes, real seasons! Nearest city at 14km.

We are both amateur clowns, love jazz music, going to cultural events, sharing our privileged situation with others and finishing our home. Languages are a daily joy to us: French, Dutch, English, German, Schwyzerdütsch and (Dutch) Sign Language.

You may join us, going to (home) concerts, meeting friends for diner and a walk or going to the Gare a Coulisses in Eurre as volunteers or public.
Maite is a Rosen Mouvement teacher and Reflexologist. She is a retired Dutch Sign Language interpreter and teacher and our home is Deaf friendly.
Ad uses a chain saw and a bush mower. He lays tiles on our inside stairs and hallways and finishes inside walls. His interests are: history, Bach and being an improvisation clown with Maite and some others.
Being Dutch native speakers, we would like to improve our language skills. Maybe learn some Scandinavian or Spanish?

Workout clearing shrubs to prevent fire around 17th century farm on a slope in the Drôme (France).
We need to clean up an area around our home to prevent forest fire. You could help us separate wood we can use for the Tulikivi and transport green waste to the reception center.
Splitting and storing logs with a Logmatic. Using a hand saw for branches.
Our house and land have different levels, situated on the slope of St. Pancrace, so everything is a workout!
Help in the garden is also welcome.Could you teach us to use a scythe? Would you like to help us collect stones that are scattered on our land? We need them to complete our small building projects.
We usually do tasks together and have meals outside as long as possible.

Schwyzerdütsch/Mundart is my favorite. I am Swiss, but never lived in Switzerland. I was born in Norway an understand a little Scandinavian. I would like to learn more. Swedish is the most easy to pick up for me.

  • Hébergement

    Hébergement

A bedroom with double bed (1.60x2.00m) private washing basin and toilet.
Shared bathroom with shower and bathtub.
We prefer not heating bedrooms, but the shared rooms are cosy and warm (Tulikivi’s). Winter duvet available.
We like to cook, make our own yoghurt, fruit kefir, kimchi and eventually bread. You will be well fed!

In our region people easily take lifters.
By car, we go to buy supplies once or twice a week in a city nearby. We could take you and suggest walks, hikes.
No smoking, no alcohol, no drugs, no household animals. A lot of wildlife outside!
We have lots of books, DVD’s and CD’s. We like to watch films in the evening.
Maite can do Rosen Movement with you or give you a reflexology massage. Ad is interested in history . We like to discuss everything we do and change our minds easily if necessary. For instance when weather changes.
There is a lot of nature to discover around us. We could suggest you where to go or come with you for walks ans site-seeing.
