Description
Hi! We’re a family living on a small 5-acre homestead in Tuchekoi in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We have a tiny rustic campground, a vegie garden, and a handful of pigs and sheep. There are always small projects happening around the property, and we enjoy having easygoing, nature-loving people around.
Our home is an old Queenslander that was beautifully renovated by the previous owners, and we’re slowly adding our own touches to make the property even more special.
For accommodation, you’re welcome to stay in our onsite caravan, which has its own toilet, shower, fridge, cooking facilities, and TV for a comfortable and private stay.
Or, if you prefer, you’re welcome to stay in your own van or camper — we’ll provide a powered site with water access, a rustic bucket shower, toilets, and a washing machine you’re free to use.
It’s peaceful, simple country living with pretty views and lots of space to relax.
We’re in a great location — only about 30–40 minutes to Noosa and the Sunshine Coast beaches, and close to beautiful swimming holes, bushwalks, national parks, lookouts, and waterfalls. It’s the perfect quiet base if you want to enjoy nature but still head to the beach or explore the hinterland during the day.
We’re a friendly, down-to-earth family who appreciates people who are respectful, independent, and easygoing. If you enjoy simple countryside living with plenty of time to explore the Coast, we’d love to welcome you.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We enjoy meeting people from different places, and having Workawayers around brings a nice sense of community to our little homestead. You’ll be part of the everyday rhythm here — feeding animals, helping in the garden, keeping the campground running, and experiencing the slower pace of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
We’re always happy to share what we know about small-scale farming, raising pigs and sheep, running a tiny campground, and growing veggies. If you’re interested in any part of farm or homestead life, we’re more than happy to show you how we do things.
Having people from different backgrounds also benefits our children — they love seeing travellers come and go, hearing different accents, learning little things about other countries, and understanding that people live all sorts of different lives. It’s a lovely, natural way for them to see the world through others’ stories.
At the same time, we enjoy learning from Workawayers too — new ideas, skills, recipes, and perspectives. You’ll have plenty of independence, but still be part of the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of our home, and we appreciate the cultural exchange that naturally happens when people from different cultures share space and experiences.
Aide
2 hours a day, 5 days a week (2 days off)
We always have a mix of small jobs around the property, and what you do depends on what needs attention that week. Nothing is too heavy — just everyday help to keep the place running smoothly.

-Blowing leaves from outdoor areas
-Mowing or whipper snipping if you’re comfortable
-Helping with simple projects or one-off jobs
Animals
-Feeding the pigs and sheep
-Filling troughs
-Helping with the chickens (feeding, checking water, collecting eggs)
-Cleaning or refreshing pens when needed

-Cleaning the campground amenities (toilet/shower area)

General Help
-Little organising/clean-up jobs we never get to

We’re not expecting perfection — just someone who can work independently once shown what to do, and enjoys contributing to the day-to-day rhythm of a small country property.
