  Description

  Hello, I am a single parent staying in a village with my three children. I work as a web developer for a not-for-profit. It is mostly work from home, with visits to the office once or twice a month. I grew up in a remote village, and before switching to my current IT job, I used to rear cows, build natural buildings, bathe in the river, cook in a smokeless wood-burning stove, actively participate in rainwater harvesting, work in a forest restoration project, grow crops through natural farming, and so on. My dream is to start a series of micro-schools that teach children how to live and let live, and also help parents in bringing up kids with a live-and-let-live attitude. As a step toward my dream, I host weekend huddles for children in which we learn, create, and have learn.
  
  My children are learning Kalarippayattu, a traditional martial arts and classical art form from nearby institutions. They cover their academics mostly online. They are fun to be around. More than a father and children, we are gradually becoming a team that helps each other. All of us are into music, arts, DIY, experiments, and having fun.
  
  Sometimes we go to the beach, to a movie, or just explore the village roads on our bicycles.
  
  I am looking for help in teaching the children something new and taking care of the house and the garden. You should be able to keep yourself engaged, entertained, and take care of the tasks without supervision. Since children are involved, I prefer a couple or two women friends. It is better to be in pairs because it will help you explore the areas and be entertained. I work from Monday to Friday. So, depending on the intensity of my work, I might not get a lot of time to be around you.
  
  If you have any experience in ballroom dancing, my children and I would like to learn from you :)

  We moved to this area for learning martial arts and other art forms. You will find plenty of institutions and teachers who teach different Indian art forms. There are classical as well as folk arts being taught and practiced in this region. You can join these institutes or I can arrange special classes for you with the artists.

  Aide

  They are independent and energetic. Just monitoring them and making sure that they don't get into trouble will be of great help. Also sometimes, when I have to be away, I expect you to be in charge of the house. The kids knows all basic cooking and everything. However, an adult has to be there to make sure their safety. You can also help us with keeping the house clean, garden watered and planted, little new projects are taken care of etc.

  Hébergement

  Separate room with attached bathroom, wardrobe, and two beds. You can share meals with us. We will expect you to help us in the kitchen while food preparation.
