Hello! I'm Stephen.

I spent 10 years as a body design engineer for Honda R&D in Columbus Ohio USA, then 1.5 years ago decided to quit and begin a journey of workawaying around the world.

So far I've volunteered at 4 communes/family farms, a yoga retreat, and an animal sanctuary.

I'm passionate about animal rights and finding a sustainable way to thrive on this planet, while building a strong and vibrant community. I'm eager to learn more about alternative construction, regenerative agriculture, and all aspects of intentional community. Oh - y me gustaría mucho mejorar mi nivel de español!

I'm also an organic gardener (although mostly just tomatoes), an experienced hiker / backpacker, a bit of a musician, enthusiastic vegan cook, and overall hard worker.

He was very knowledgeable with his engineering background was crucial for solving the puzzles and problems that might come up on even a small farm such as ours! My 2.5 week stay at the farm was excellent. Ruth and all the various family and friends she attracted to the house were lovely and welcoming. My partner and I stayed for two weeks and had a great time. The work was varied, the accomodation was excellent, and the property is beautiful. We got along great with the other volunteers as well as the hosts. It's an easy 15 minute walk into town for groceries or an espresso. Would recommend this place to anyone!
