Descripción
Hello I am Saeja Daye. I am an adventurous young woman who cares deeply for the earth, plants, animals, community, and indigenous wisdom.
I am interested in plant medecine, organic farming, permaculture, community and natural building techniques.
I have been traveling the world for the past few years and am accustomed to adapting to new situations, helping others integrate, and contributing to the situation no matter where i am or what i am doing.
I am a hard worker and find the deepest meaning in all that I do. Everything we do impacts ourselves and others, I believe in being a steward to the earth and caring for every living person and thing on it.
I love camping, hiking, living in nature, and gardening.
I am traveling and living in Spain to immerse myself completely in the culture as i gradually transition into my residency in Catalonia with my wonderful partner. I am excited to learn more about the culture and look for opportunities to work and/or help in community. I would love to work together to create and coexist in a new way of living that is more harmonious for the planet and humanity.
I am from Bellingham Washington in the northwestern corner of the United States. We have many forests, mountains, and the salish sea. I grew up around nature which is why it is so important to me.
I believe in keeping the earth green and caring for the land, plants and animals in a natural, respectful, and healthy way. I believe in the wisdom and medecine of plants and believe the earth can teach us all we truly need to know.
I care deeply about reforestation and would like to do any amount I can in this life, I believe that planting trees can save the earth.
I have experience in intentional community and co creating artistic, alternative, and heart opening spaces where everyone comunicates in healthy group formats with clear boundaries and respectful communication. I love cooking community meals, leading and participating in group projects, and discovering the amazing variety of things we can do when we work together.
I love gardening, planting trees, and making herbal medecine. One of my hobbies is sustainably collecting crystals from the earth and making jewelry with them. I am very creative and love to sing, craft, garden, and meditate. I have lots of experience living in and participating in intentional communities from the age of 17, I have volunteered with food not bombs, planting trees in Indonesia, restoring native wildlands near the salish sea, and volunteering on a permaculture farm in Colombia.
This is my second time participating in workaway, my first experience was volunteering on a family permaculture farm in Colombia last spring doing natural building, gardening, and planting trees. Outside of workaway i have volunteered internationally in Indonesia planting trees, volunteering in orphanages and learning about the ecology of the bornean jungle. I did this through my school in 2016.
I deeply care about spiritual practice, meditation, music, sacred plant medecine, and am always open to learning more formats of connecting with spirituality. Nature is my muse and community is my goal. I would love to contribute to any project i can to deeper connect with the opportunities this great big world holds.
Thank you for being you!

Que habilidades tienes?
My education is one of the things I am most grateful for in this life. I had the privelage to go to Explorations Academy, a private high school focused on global based education with an emphasis on environmental awareness and outdoor skills.
Along with general studies we learned about many different cultures, land management, reforestation, gardening, backpacking skills, and so much more.
We learned all the skills needed to care for ourselves in the wilderness and all our studies were taught with an awareness of many perspectives and respect of all peoples different ways of living.
I have not started college yet because i feel the need to learn from other cultures and explore volunteering in many fields before I pick one.
Although if I were to choose right now I would go into ecology or a degree focused on protecting and sustaining the environment and its ecosystems.
I have cared for children, elderly and developmentally disabled people. I am good at cooking and cleaning. I have worked in construction a fair bit and rooved houses. I have been a waitress and a housekeeper. But most importantly i love and have experience in gardening, landscaping and planting trees.
I am a native english speaker and am fluent in spanish.
I love to help people and find pleasure in working hard and getting in the dirt. I am an outside kind of person who deeply loves nature.
