Dear host family,

Hi there!

My name is Peter, and I’m a 24-year-old traveler with a passion for exploring new cultures, meeting people, and learning through hands-on experiences. Before I began traveling, I was a college student and now I am working on figuring out what my life path will be.

I love staying active and enjoy all kinds of sports like basketball, hiking, camping, and fitness.
I also have budding interests in photography and writing. I spend much of my free time writing and hope to become an author one day.

I started traveling and doing work-exchange because I’ve always been drawn to the idea of slow, meaningful immersion in different communities. Workaway seemed like the perfect opportunity to meet new people, learn practical skills, and explore different ways of living. So far, I’ve had the chance to be a part of a gardening project, care for/inspire children as au pair, and assist in various farm/animal roles, as well as help a couple families with English practice. Each experience has taught me something new and deepened my understanding of myself and the world around me.

Farm Work:
I have worked on several country farms during my life. I have experience driving tractor, cutting hay, working with animals (big and small), and doing various farm chores.

Language Practice:
I have worked with a couple different family helping to teach/improve English

Household tasks:
I am detail oriented and like to keep things tidy. I have no problem washing dishes, cleaning the house, or fixing/repairing things. I can do some maintenance stuff and know how to use a tools, although I am not an expert.

Childcare:
I have childcare experience and have been an au pair 2 different times. Duties included driving/transportation, planning fun activities, swimming, playing sports, cooking dinner, resolving arguments, household management, and helping the children in the evening/ putting them to bed.

Garden/maintenance:
I have a little experience working in the garden. I don't know much but would be willing to help with whatever is needed. I can also cut grass, and use power tools.
