traveling at this moment
japan - first 3 months of 2025
Finally time to pack all our stuff into boxes and start our journey - around the world for the third time! We've already discovered Emirates, Oman and Sri Lanka,.. and than somehow have been teleported back to Sweden,.. and after 6 months there, back to road,.. mongolia, south korea, japan, philippines, vietnam, laos,..
Slovak couple, Pavel (44) and Daniela (38) together for more than 17 years (or is it 100 ??:) and since beginning traveling as much as possible, camping, visiting remote places, and trying to meet and know local people and understand more life in different countries. We are not party animals, prefer quiet evenings with deep talks about nothing,.. book in hand is a must, we are also active sports(wo)men (joga, running, bike/hike/swimming), and Pavel's main obsession is fishing (even he is hopeless, he doesn't give up),..
Both of us are non smokers,.. in recent years we decreased our consumption of alcohol to minimum,.. sure with proper people glass of wine or can of cold beer (or two) is no harm to us :)
By now we have done multiple workaway's in Peru (2014), New Zealand (2015), Malaysia (2016), Canada (2018), Mexico, Costarica (2019), Sweden (2023 + 2024), Ireland (2023), Sri Lanka (2024). We find it as one of the best ways to travel, learn new skills, meet people and help out in any way we can. Our interest include construction, recycling, permaculture, sustainable living, zero waste lifestyle, eco building, chopping and stacking wood is our obsession,.. and we would like to get some practical knowledge about sustainability and permaculture while travelling.Idiomas hablados

Although we both have comfortable 9-5 office jobs, we decided to changed our lives and quit several times to travel the world and doing some volunteering/paid jobs.
For example we spent 15 months in New Zealand with working holiday visa. We gained some experience in orchard work, weeding, planting, Pavel became part of the beekeeping team for 5 months, went through all stages of beekeeping. Plus we did lot of another manual jobs as working in restaurants, did volunteering in movie and theatre festivals, helping with park renovations, paiting the boat or house, or stones ha ha,.. lot of work with firewood as well.
One of our biggest adventure was building our own house in countryside (digging foundations, general work, paintings, gardening, etc.) and also renovations works of our flat (everything you can imagine:).
Even we are not specialist in any area we would be extremely keen to help in garden, in farm and with maintenance, cooking/baking, house caring, cleaning, don´t have problem to have our hands dirty and looking forward to learn new things and do everything what would be necessary.Edad

Pavel and Daniela are very helpful at work, ready to put in the effort when needed, enthusiastic and very pleasant to work with. Pavel, you definitely earned your first degree in demolition. Let us know when you'll start working on your ”stuga” (Swedish cottage).

We spent almost the whole summer at Jeremy and Nina's place... okay, okay, it was a Swedish summer, so in the end, it was only 11 days :). But it wasn't enough for sure

Our second longest Workaway project, and our 19th, by the way. We spent 31 nights at this beautiful place, and it was definitely not enough. Working 4 to 5 hours daily according to your skills with free weekends means plenty of free time to explore the nature around: lakes, forest, and gravel roads all around. If you're… read more
