Moi!
My name is Mizuki. I am a 31-year-old Japanese woman, born and raised in Kochi City, Japan, which is known for its beautiful rivers, mountains, and unique local cuisine :)

I previously lived and worked in the US as a Japanese culture instructor at a university for the past two years.
Now that I have completed my job term, I decided to explore the culture, nature, and life in Finland, a country I fell in love with during my visit about five years ago..... It was only a month-stay back then. However, this time, I can stay for one year in Finland! I’m excited to have the opportunity to learn more about the country and meet new people.
I started leaning Finnish language before my departure, but WOW, it's soooo difficult! ;) I’m learning slowly, but I’m doing my best!

I do enjoy a quiet, nature-focused countryside lifestyle, and I love learning about different cultures and ways of life. I thrive on having meaningful and fun conversations, listening to people’s life stories, cooking, and walking in the forest. I’m also a big cat person!

I don’t drink alcohol or smoke at all, but I have a soft spot for sweet stuff, like gummies...;) No allergies and food restriction.
I drink a lot of water, so I’m so happy that Finland has such amazing water quality!
My friends would describe me as positive, attentive, and responsible🤭

I have traveled to Italy(6months), Australia(1year), Norway, Sweden, Finland, Thai, Slovenia, Korea, Taiwan and the US. In Italy and Australia, I mainly spent my time as a WWOOFer (WWOOF is a farming-focused version of HelpX), so I am accustomed to home staying.

I am capable of doing general house chores, cleaning, cooking and etc.
I have some experience of planting and harvesting vegetables, kitchen works, and disassembling pig and cow as well!
Additionally, I am happy to offer you Japanese cultural activities like origami and challigraphy(if there are materials), cooking Japanese food and teaching Japanese language from scratch as a certified teacher!
