My care for the environment motivates me to find ways to volunteer wherever I go. At home I am part of my wildlife group and do water testing for pollution in our rivers. I love being part of a community of like minded people. As well as this I love to exercise in the outdoors having done a triathlon with my mum and open water swimming most weekends. I also love to cook and bake and have been learning lots of new dishes as I’ve travelled down the coast which I’d love to share with others.

I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to anything environmental having organised events such as moth talks and hedgerow surveys in my village. I am very physically fit so can easily help out with any hard jobs at hand and willing to always learn new skills to help out.

I felt very lucky to have my first Christmas away from home to be with Paul and Caroline and their whole family. I loved all their Christmas traditions and it made me miss english xmas less. We visited some other islands whilst I was there which was great to see and was always invited along to spend time with their friends too which was great fun.… read more

I spent 2 weeks with the family and I loved it so much. I properly felt part of their family within such a short period of time. Noa and Samson were great to look after and I miss sharing my evening apple with them. They were happy to take me anywhere so I got to properly explore the area and even go and see platypus in Eungella. The granny flat… read more

Milly was only here for 2 weeks but from the moment she walked in the front door she just slipped straight into our family perfectly and we miss her lots.
Nothing was ever a bother for Milly and she made our day to day life so easy by just getting in and helping, whether it be cleaning up the kitchen, cooking or looking after the kids.

This was my first work away experience and I hope all of my next ones are as good as this. Pasha and Guy became my second family after just 2 and a half weeks staying with them. The work I did was very rewarding and I could tell how grateful they were once I finished painting their veranda so their home starts to feel more complete. You can’t beat… read more
