Hi, I'm Michele, I was born and live in Bergamo, a magnificent city located near the Italian Orobic Alps.
I am an organized, diligent and very tidy person, who knows how to take care of himself of others, I am also very calm and patient.
At the age of 20 I bought a house and went to live alone, following a desire for independence from a young age, this allowed me to make myself able to manage independently all the needs and problems encountered in living alone.
I love spending time outdoors and during my free time I go hiking on the countless mountains in my area, alone or with my brother, with whom I have an excellent relationship.
I am eager to continuously learn new things, I am very curious, I love to read and I am passionate about fashion.
I like literature, music and art in general, I am also passionate about fitness and for this reason I have long since adopted daily training programs to follow at home, combined with a balanced diet, I am also learning to practice yoga.
I am perfectly comfortable talking to people who have a different culture than mine and I believe that this exchange has numerous advantages for the personal growth of both.

I have been living for 7 years with Misha, my beautiful European cat, adopted after being abandoned at the age of 7 months, we are now an inseparable couple.
When my neighbor (with whom I am a very good friend) goes on vacation, I also host Poll, a magnificent specimen of Shiba, who gets along very well with my cat.
So I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats, as well as being an incredible fan of them.

I would like to carry out activities related to animals and to the care of the house and garden since they are my passions and my areas of expertise.
I am also a lover of Italian cuisine, I have done several cooking and oenology courses and I am able to cook perfectly the most famous Italian delicacies.

I'm used to working alone but I'd like to experience some group adventures, better with people from a different culture, from whom I could learn a lot.

I am perfectly capable of cleaning, cooking (I love teaching and cooking the best Italian recipes for others), ironing, washing, hanging and all the other household chores that are now my daily routine.
In recent years I have also arranged my garden by myself, making it a small corner of green paradise.
I am very practical in using computers in general.

I have a diploma as an agricultural expert specializing in green management of the environment and the territory and, others who love nature, i am perfectly capable of taking care of green areas.
I have had many and varied work experiences that I will summarize in short, I am therefore very adaptable and able to carry out many different activities without problems:
- Farmer in the fields and greenhouses of the school I attended for the production and sale of organic products;
- Servient in a Zoo, taking care of many animals from all over the world;
- Private surveillance, working in Orio al Serio airport as a passenger and baggage security
officer and doing armed night surveillance in the city;
- Help cook in a restaurant in the city;
- Employed in 2 different commercial activities (betting center and car rental);
- Warehouse worker and worker in 2 different companies (DHL and industrial x-ray
company).

I have also carried out several online and face-to-face courses on the following topics:
- Italian cooking;
- Bartending and mixology;
- Coffee, from the plant to the cup;
- Wines and tasting;
- Etiquette and the art of behavior.

I also hold a higher driving license for heavy vehicles.

In the future, I would like to open an organic farm with a small Italian restaurant attached.

I have just returned from an unforgettable experience spent with Carin and Chris in Greenville, Texas, near Dallas. I cannot help but be enthusiastic about everything I experienced during my two weeks with them.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Carin, who showed me their magnificent home where I would be staying. Carin, Chris,… read more and the rest of the family made me feel like part of their family from day one, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
The room I was given was exceptional, with all the necessary comforts and more! Located inside the house but with a private bathroom, it ensured privacy and tranquility throughout my stay.

I was able to manage my time according to my needs and also organize everything based on the unpredictable weather conditions, which are quite common here! I had the pleasure of cleaning, organizing, and rearranging the beautiful garden, also helping with some household chores and creating a vertical garden for aromatic plants.

To Carin and Chris's delight, I also got my hands in the kitchen, preparing lasagna and hand-made tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce with passion and dedication.
Additionally, I had the privilege of helping prepare the Easter lunch and participating in the same lunch with the whole family. We enjoyed together the delicacies prepared by Carin, creating an unforgettable moment of conviviality and sharing.
I also cannot forget the wonderful barbecue where I could taste sausages and steaks prepared with dedication by Chris on the grill, another meal we shared all together.

During my stay, I had the opportunity to participate in various social activities, such as bowling, dining at a typical restaurant with live country music, visiting Dallas, and attending an authentic Texan rodeo. I always felt included and welcomed, truly becoming part of the family.

I also had the fortune to witness the total solar eclipse on April 8th, visible only in a small fraction of the globe. From Carin and Chris's home, despite the clouds, I had a privileged view directly from the garden, making the experience even more extraordinary and memorable.

I am immensely grateful to Carin and Chris for the wonderful days spent together, and I will never stop thanking them for this incredible experience. I wish them and their family all the best, and if I ever return to the Dallas area, I will definitely visit them again to share more wonderful time together.

I've recently departed after an unforgettable experience in Corsicana, Texas, spent at Betina's welcoming family farm. Following an adventurous journey from Mexico and a somewhat challenging arrival at Dallas airport, Betina personally came to pick me up, showing her care and kindness from the start.

Betina's home is a true haven in the heart of… read more Texan countryside, surrounded by lush meadows and open fields. My accommodation in the spacious RV was impeccable, equipped with every imaginable comfort and located just a few steps from the main residence. The familial atmosphere and tranquility of the place made my stay an unforgettable experience.

Work on the farm was diverse and exciting. Every morning, I started the day by feeding the animals - dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and goats - who quickly became affectionate friends and joyful companions during my workdays. Lawn care, vegetable harvesting from the garden, and woodcutting were just some of the activities I had the pleasure of doing either alone or with Betina's family. The work environment was extremely relaxing and flexible, allowing me to organize my tasks according to my needs and preferences.

In addition to farm activities, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Texan culture, from attending Sunday mass at a typical local church to spending an evening at a venue with live country music. I fully experienced the authentic spirit of Texas and made new friends along the way.

The pleasure of meals prepared by Betina should be mentioned, making every mealtime a tasty and welcoming experience. I also had the pleasure of enjoying authentic Texan dishes expertly prepared by Betina, such as the delicious pecan pie, cookies, and other American culinary delights like the famous corn dogs. Additionally, one evening, I had the opportunity to prepare homemade tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce, an Italian dish that I cooked with love and was enthusiastically welcomed by the entire family.

In the evenings, after dinner, I also greatly enjoyed the time spent playing board games with the family. Amidst laughter, strategies, and shared moments, I had unforgettable evenings fully immersed in the warm family atmosphere.

I cannot thank Betina, Cliff, Mammy, and the entire family enough for their generosity, hospitality, and affection shown during my stay. They made me feel part of their family from day one and treated me with warmth and kindness that will remain in my memories forever.

If I were to return to the Dallas area, I would not hesitate for a moment to visit this extraordinary family again. I wish them all the best and hope to see them again soon to share more unforgettable moments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and good luck with the farm!

I spent three unforgettable weeks at José and Daria's house in Akumal, Mexico, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. From the first contacts through messages before my arrival, I received a warm welcome and detailed guidance on how to reach their residence situated in a lovely residential area near the sea.

Upon landing at Cancún… read more airport, I booked a private transportation service that took me to the beautiful residential area of Tao, within the PGA golf country club in Akumal. There, I was welcomed by José, Daria, and their little Arya, who, despite her initial shyness, proved to be incredibly sweet and affectionate over time.

During the three weeks of my stay, my main task was to assist the family with daily activities, including meal preparation and spending time with Arya when needed. Despite the initial challenges in building a bond with Arya, I found it rewarding to see how quickly a relationship of trust and mutual affection developed.

José and Daria are an exceptional couple, with extensive travel experience and a wealth of knowledge to share. Our conversations during meals were always interesting and stimulating, enriched by the opportunity to communicate in English, Spanish, or even learn a bit of Russian.

One of the things I appreciated most was the possibility of integrating completely into family life and sharing my Italian culinary culture with everyone. Arya's birthday party was a special occasion where I could showcase my culinary skills, preparing traditional Italian and French dishes that were enthusiastically received by all the guests.

The house where I stayed was simply wonderful, equipped with every imaginable comfort and situated in a peaceful and secure environment. The residential neighborhood offered convenient amenities, such as a wellness club, restaurants, and pools, along with a shuttle service to easily reach the beach and other points of interest.

During the stay, we had the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the surroundings, visiting breathtaking beaches and crystal-clear cenotes. Even when I preferred to relax by the pool within the residential area or reach the beach with the convenient free shuttle service, the experience was always unforgettable.

I want to sincerely thank José, Daria, and Arya for allowing me to live this extraordinary experience. I am deeply grateful for the affection and hospitality they showed me, and I am sure we will stay in touch in the future. I wish them all the best, and I am certain that little Arya will grow surrounded by the love and attention of such wonderful parents.

Extraordinary experience in Panajachel, Guatemala, with Bob and Tako.

I spent an unforgettable month in Panajachel, Guatemala, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Bob and his affectionate cat, Tako. My experience with Workaway was made possible by Bob, who proved to be an outstanding host from the very first contact. Despite my sudden… read more arrival in town and issues with another host, Bob promptly responded to my request, and we managed to meet shortly thereafter to discuss the details of my stay.

Bob not only provided me with comfortable accommodation but also actively involved me in his stimulating and innovative projects. With his extensive experience and passion for crafting artisanal chocolate and probiotic beverages, I had the opportunity to learn and contribute to his daily activities. I spent the initial days assisting Bob in a variety of fascinating tasks, from chocolate preparation in his workshop to creating healthy probiotic beverages. Additionally, I had the privilege of witnessing his entrepreneurial vision and collaborating on his future projects.

During my stay, I was entrusted with the responsibility of caring for the garden and Tako while Bob was away for personal reasons. This experience allowed me to apply my agronomic skills and transform the outdoor space into a lush and welcoming environment. I dedicated time and energy to cleaning, organizing, and completely reorganizing the outdoor area, creating a brand new space that received praise and appreciation from Bob upon its completion.

The apartment provided by Bob was simple yet equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The spacious bed, private bathroom with hot shower, and well-equipped kitchen made my stay enjoyable and relaxing. Furthermore, the strategic location of the apartment, close to the main road and the picturesque Lake Atitlán, made it easy to explore the city and its surroundings during my leisure time.

Panajachel has a unique atmosphere, and the breathtaking landscape of Lake Atitlán made my excursions to the surrounding villages an unforgettable experience. During weekends, I enjoyed taking the boat and visiting the various villages scattered around the lake, each with its own peculiarities. The city is safe, offers all essential services, and prices are affordable, especially for us Europeans.

Finally, I would like to thank Bob and his collaborators for making my stay in Panajachel so special. Their generosity, kindness, and altruistic spirit made my Workaway experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Bob as a host to anyone looking for an authentic and meaningful experience in Guatemala.

What an incredible experience I had in Cartagena, in the Costa Cálida region, with Sophie and her two adorable dogs, Malù and Canela!
I spent five unforgettable weeks, among arid but spectacular landscapes, and my adventure began with the warm welcome of Sophie and her faithful four-legged companions.

After a drive through the beautiful city of… read more Cartagena, I arrived in Galifa where Sophie was awaiting my arrival. As soon as I unloaded the car I was directed to my refuge for the next five weeks: a small caravan equipped with every comfort imaginable. A comfortable bed, fridge, bathroom, and even an outdoor shower made my stay comfortable. The caravan furthermore offered a breathtaking view of the valley, giving me a magical awakening every morning.

During my stay I shared the caravan with two other volunteers, each on separate terms, and had the opportunity to make new friends. Sophie turned out to be an amazing host, with extensive experience hosting volunteers. With patience and dedication she explained the basic rules of her property, simple but essential. Communication with Sophie was easy, as she is fluent in three languages!

My main duty was to take care of the cleaning of the swimming pool, the property in general and the garden. From time to time I also delighted Sophie with some delicious Italian specialties. The work was pleasant and went smoothly during the two hours a day, especially in such a heavenly place.

After work I could relax in the sun or take a dip in the pool, essential to combat the high temperatures of August.
As a fig lover, I was also thrilled to have found trees full of fruit waiting for me!!!

My vehicle also allowed me to explore the local beach, museums and typical markets of Cartagena during my free time.
Nearby the camping there is also a bar/supermarket within easy walking distance for basic necessities.

The evenings were dedicated to relaxing walks with the dogs in the mountains and meditations in the midst of nature, experiences from which I learned a lot.
In particular, the night we had a picnic on the beach to admire the full moon was truly unforgettable.
I also sincerely thank Sophie for taking me out for lunch on my birthday and letting me taste the local delicacies, a gesture that I deeply appreciated.

If you love quiet places, surrounded by nature, and far from the chaos and frenzy of big cities, this little corner of paradise is the perfect choice for a summer break.
I sincerely wish Sophie all the best for her future and I hope to have the opportunity to return to Galifa in the future, perhaps just for a short visit. I had a great time and I will never stop thanking Sophie for the valuable lessons she learned during these five weeks, and also for my new profile photo!

What a wonderful experience I had at Sabine's house! I was a guest of this amazing host for two weeks during the end of September and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

After a ferry ride from Valencia to Palma, I reached her beautiful property, located on the outskirts of a small village in the center of the island, about half an hour's… read more drive from the city of Palma. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Sabine, who showed me the magnificent finca where I would be staying. This delightful independent house, surrounded by a vast garden, offered all the necessary comfort, including a charming terrace and an equipped kitchen. The finca guaranteed almost exclusive privacy and tranquility, perfect for resting and carrying out my activities without any disturbance. The presence of the three dogs and two cats on the property also made the atmosphere even more welcoming for me, an animal lover.

Sabine's garden is a true green paradise, enriched by her passion for horticulture. During my stay, I had the opportunity to perform a variety of interesting and meaningful tasks. Sabine created a stimulating and rewarding work environment, where I had the opportunity to learn new skills and put my previous knowledge into practice.

My main task was to take care of the magnificent garden. This included arranging plants, removing dry vegetation, watering and maintaining green areas. I also had the opportunity to create a small garden based on permaculture, following the instructions and advice of Sabine, who is an expert in this field.
I have always been provided with all the tools and products necessary to carry out these tasks efficiently.
Furthermore, I was also in charge of cleaning the house, ensuring that it was welcoming and tidy.
Another important task I did was to fix a printer that had been out of order for some time. After fixing the glitch, I was able to get the printer to work properly, making Sabine's daily life a little easier!
Finally, I also had the opportunity to cook a typical Italian recipe for Sabine and Noah, her son, with whom I also made friends and shared an incredible excursion in the surrounding mountains.

My mornings at work often ended with delicacies cooked by Sabine, who demonstrated exceptional culinary talent. I also had the opportunity to explore the wonders of the island, visiting enchanting beaches and picturesque villages. Sabine gave me valuable advice regarding the points of interest on the island and the local market, making my travels by car easier, during which I was also able to savor authentic culinary delights in some typical restaurants..

I am grateful for Sabine's hospitality and the incredible experience I had in her home. I wish her the best for the future, as well as Noah. Without a doubt, I recommend anyone to stay at Sabine's for an unforgettable experience in Mallorca.

Oscar's house is located in the heart of the Sierra Calderona Natural Park, a breathtaking setting surrounded by the beauty of nature, animals and majestic mountains. This environment offers the perfect opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area through unforgettable excursions.

The city of Olocau is easily accessible and has its own charming atmosphere. It is a little jewel with an enchanting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing walks and cultural discoveries.

My accommodation in the spacious and private room of the main house, with an independent and external entrance, guaranteed privacy and tranquility during my stay. The room was welcoming and comfortable, ideal for resting after a day of work in the lush garden, where I had the opportunity to contribute to its maintenance, cleaning and organisation.

Oscar gave me the freedom to work independently, allowing me to follow my own pace and ideas. This made my work even more rewarding and allowed me to contribute significantly to the garden project.

After a day of hard work, I had the pleasure of enjoying the delicacies prepared by Oscar, who is an exceptional chef. I had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of local dishes without ever having to leave home!

One of the most precious experiences was hiking the mountain trails with Oscar and his wonderful dog, listening to his captivating stories. Oscar is a knowledgeable and cultured man, and I have had the privilege of learning from him on a wide range of topics during our conversations on walks and meals.

In conclusion, I can absolute recommend Oscar as a Workaway host for the countless reasons I have described. He is a man of heart and culture and I am grateful for everything he shared with me during my stay. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to see him again in Olocau or Palma in the future and wish him all the best in all his endeavours.

The castle, currently undergoing restoration, is an architectural marvel, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The peace and tranquility here are a soothing balm for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
My main task was to cook for Mark, Phillip, and the castle's guests. Being Italian, I had the opportunity to bring an authentic taste of Italian cuisine to their table, and I am happy to say that my creations received warm appreciation. The well-equipped kitchen allowed me to express my passion for gastronomy creatively and effortlessly.
One day, I had the chance to organize a special lunch for all the castle's workers, creating an all-Italian culinary experience that left an indelible mark on all of us. I spent the entire morning preparing an authentic menu, rich in Italian delicacies.
Bruschette with tomato and burrata brought the taste of Mediterranean summer to everyone's hearts. Then, homemade lasagna won the palate of each guest, with layers of pasta, ragù, and cheese blending into an extraordinary symphony of flavors. To end on a sweet note, I served a homemade tiramisu, its delicacy and creaminess leaving everyone speechless.
And to accompany this Italian feast, I presented an authentic bottle of Limoncello from Capri, offering a sip of freshness and tradition after the meal.
Gratitude and empty plates at the end of lunch filled my heart with joy. Being able to share my culinary passion with the team was an extraordinary moment, and I appreciated their curiosity and admiration for Italian delicacies.
The provided accommodation was top-notch, with a comfortable room and a welcoming atmosphere that ensured maximum privacy. Throughout my stay, I enjoyed spending time with the other castle workers, all of whom were amiable individuals with whom I exchanged pleasant conversations and even dined at typical restaurants in the area.
On the weekends, however, I was able to savor the delicious French-American dishes prepared by Phillip, an interesting novelty of flavors.
Mark and Phillip are extraordinary individuals, and their enthusiasm and passion for the castle's restoration project are infectious. Their dedication and commitment to every detail are admirable, and the result will undoubtedly be magnificent.
I continued my journey with precious memories and a sweet nostalgia for this place. I can't wait to return next year to witness the progress of their majestic project and once again share wonderful moments with Mark and Phillip.
