Hello! My name is Michael and I am 22 years old :)
I currently live in Basel in Switzerland, where I study Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. After my last long trip where I cycled from my home to Turkey and stayed at different workaways, I am very excited to embark on a journey like this again! I will be in Tunisia with my bike during January and February of 2026 and hope to meet amazing people and learn more about the local history and culture along the way.
I love everything outdoors – cycling, climbing, sailing, hiking, camping – but I am also very keen to improve my Arabic skills!

After finishing school, I have worked in a climbing gym for two years. That means that I have experience working behind the counter and as a barista. Other than that, I have already worked in a mountain hut, in landscape maintenance and as a childcarer as part of my Swiss civil service. I also spent a month in Istanbul teaching English and a month in Spain working in a children's holiday camp.
