Hello there! My name is Matteo and I am originally from Vicenza, north of Italy, a city I left a while ago to pursue my studies abroad. After university and for almost 10 years, I have been working in the humanitarian sector, moslty coordinating and providing assistance to refugees and IDP camps in many countries around the world. I have now decided to take a break and travel more to discover other beautiful places of our planet. I have a dream to open a small farm-to-table restaurant in Colombia in the years to come, therefore I wanna learn everything I can about cooking, farms, animals, and just meet nice people to exchange and get inspiration from!

I have studied International relations and GIS (cartography) during University in Geneva, Switzerland and then worked for almost 10 years as a humanitarian coordinating and providing life-saving assistance in refugee camps around the world. I have then developed a vast skillset of technical and soft competencies.

However, I have also been working in the hospitality and tourism sector, in bars and restaurants, as well as volounteeirng in farms in South America, skills I want to keep developping.

I fluently speak four languages (English, French, Spanish and Italian).
