Hello! My name is Mara, I'm from Argentinian Patagonia. I have spent the last 2 years and a half traveling/volunteering in Switzerland, Italy,Turkey, Ireland, Georgia, Wales, England, Scotland, Spain, Egypt, Armenia, Balkans... And I keep doing it because I find it just wonderful! When I started to volunteer through Workaway 7 years ago, it completely changed the way I experience traveling and has given me many, many of the most amazing memories as a traveller... And the most important thing, it allowed me to meet absolutely incredible people, some of whom I have the privilege to keep as very dear friends! I really love this life style...
Before becoming 100% nomad I alternated between living in Patagonia during part of the year, and traveling the remaining months, as well volunteering in different countries.
I love and need nature, animals, traveling, arts, learning, meeting people, sharering, discovering...

I try to have a way of life as respectful as possible of the environment, something in which there is always more to learn and do.

I am a History teacher, although I no longer practice. I feel a passion for art in general (particularly, literature and music) as well as love manual practical work.
I consider myself self-taught with what I like and I seek to be more and more self-managed. Whenever I consider it possible, I try to solve my own practical problems myself.
When I was living in Bariloche (a touristic city at the foot of the Andes range) provided for many years tourist accommodation services independently running an Airbnb. I managed all the parts of the process: marketing, contact with clients, housekeeping, reception, tourist information, maintenance, etc., etc., etc...

I have participated in different projects of community work (social and ecological ones) and, in addition to having taught me many things, they made me very happy.

I consider myself a very sociable and adaptable person, I really enjoy sharing with others (it's not just a way of saying!) and always have a flexible and respectful attitude.

From the labor point of view, I have a predisposition to work and to learn what is necessary to do what I do correctly. I feel very committed with my work and I am not afraid when it is demanding. Actually, it's how I'm used to work!
