Hello, my name is Marina, I am 40 years old, and for me, one of life’s main purposes is to travel, open myself to new cultures, and learn continuously from them. I have had the opportunity to live in three different cities in Brazil, as well as spend time in Portugal, France, and a few months in Germany.
I am a psychologist and work in public education, supporting people in vulnerable situations. I’m currently taking time off from work to finish my PhD in Social Psychology — a time of meaningful learning and personal reflection. Even so, I have been missing hands-on work, human connection, contact with what is different, and the opportunity to broaden my perspective through new experiences.
I recently visited South Africa, and that experience has continued to resonate within me. It sparked a strong desire to get to know the continent better. I noticed meaningful affinities with Brazilian culture and a powerful sense of kinship. I feel I have much to learn, as well as much to contribute through my life trajectory and experience.
I am easy to live with, adapt well to different circumstances, and value a sense of community. Throughout my life, I have shared homes with many different people, which has strengthened my ability to coexist, cooperate, and live collectively.

As a psychologist, I offer strong active listening skills and a supportive, empowerment-focused approach. I care deeply about promoting social and emotional development, helping people strengthen their social skills, and creating safe and inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome. When helpful, I provide psychoeducational support with the goal of encouraging autonomy, confidence, and well-being.
