Hi, I am Sylvia from Singapore. I enjoy travelling and meeting people from different countries and backgrounds. I also like to learn and experience new things. After many years in the corporate world, I am now excited to explore meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect me more deeply with animals, people, and new cultures.
I have a deep love for dogs and animals — I raised a Shih Tzu and a West Highland White Terrier from puppies to 16.5 and 17 years old respectively. During my time working in Hong Kong, I also volunteered at a local dog rescue shelter — an experience that deepened my love for animals and strengthened my commitment to their care and wellbeing.
Although I have never lived on a farm, I am responsible, hardworking, observant, and always eager to learn. I am comfortable taking initiative and treating every task with great care and respect.
Beyond working with animals, I am also very interested in Workaway opportunities that offer cultural and language exchange. I am very open-minded, outgoing and friendly. I enjoy learning new languages and immersing myself in different ways of life. I believe every exchange is an opportunity to broaden perspectives, build meaningful connections, and grow personally.
I would be happy to help with dog care, general farm work, household support, language practice, or any tasks needed. I am independent, reliable, and positive — and I look forward to contributing, learning, and experiencing the authentic spirit of every place I visit.

I grow up in Singapore and studied both English and Chinese as first languages since I was a child, so I am highly proficient in both languages.
I am also good in Maths and accounting.
I work as a risk management consultant for many years, so I am skilled in designing and implementing practical procedures to manage business operations effectively and efficiently too. I can share my previous work experiences via my LinkedIn account if you would like to understand more.
I am responsible and enjoy work that needs organizing skills, be it in the office or at home.
