Hola, somos Mackenzie (pero me llaman Kenzie) y Erik. Mackenzie es originaria de Canadá y trabajó en Estados Unidos durante cuatro años antes de dejar su trabajo hace dos años y medio para empezar a viajar, principalmente por Latinoamérica. Erik es de Ciudad de México, México, donde nos conocimos. Desde entonces, nos motiva la oportunidad de conectar con gente, aprender algo nuevo cada día y compartir experiencias significativas por el camino.

Nos apasiona la naturaleza y la sostenibilidad. Pasar tanto tiempo al aire libre nos ha enseñado la importancia de preservar nuestro planeta, y nos encanta formar parte de proyectos que apoyan la vida sostenible o que retribuyen a la comunidad. Mackenzie también está trabajando para mejorar su español, ya que ambos creemos que el idioma es una forma poderosa de profundizar las conexiones y comprender diferentes culturas.

Encontramos la felicidad en los momentos sencillos: contemplar la puesta de sol, alcanzar la cima de una dura ruta de senderismo, compartir historias mientras comemos o tomamos un café, o descubrir algo inesperado en un lugar nuevo. Nos sentimos más vivos cuando estamos inmersos en la naturaleza, aprendiendo de los demás y creando vínculos significativos.

Compartimos un profundo amor por el senderismo, los viajes y explorar juntos nuevos lugares. Erik es diseñador gráfico y le gusta la fotografía y la videografía, lo que nos permite documentar de forma creativa nuestros viajes y experiencias.

Juntos, nos encanta sumergirnos en nuevas culturas y establecer conexiones auténticas allá donde vamos. Hemos viajado por todo México y por las regiones patagónicas de Argentina y Chile, experiencias que han moldeado nuestro aprecio por la comunidad, la resiliencia y la vida sostenible.

Somos respetuosos, motivados y tranquilos, y valoramos sinceramente el intercambio cultural. Nuestro objetivo es contribuir en todo lo que podamos, apoyar a nuestros anfitriones de todo corazón y seguir creciendo, aprendiendo y retribuyendo a través de experiencias compartidas significativas.

Hola, we are Mackenzie (but I go by Kenzie) and Erik. Mackenzie is originally from Canada and worked in the US for four years before leaving her job two and a half years ago to begin traveling, mainly throughout Latin America. Erik is from Mexico City, Mexico, where we met. Since then, we’ve been motivated by the chance to connect with people, learn something new every day, and share meaningful experiences along the way.

We are passionate about nature and sustainability. Spending so much time outdoors has taught us the importance of preserving our planet, and we love being part of projects that support sustainable living or give back to the community. Mackenzie is also working on improving her Spanish, as we both believe language is a powerful way to deepen connections and understand different cultures.

We find happiness in the simple moments—watching sunsets, reaching the summit of a tough hike, sharing stories over a meal or coffee, or discovering something unexpected in a new place. We feel most alive when we’re immersed in nature, learning from others, and creating meaningful connections.

We share a deep love for hiking, traveling, and exploring new places together. Erik is a graphic designer and enjoys photography and videography, which allows us to creatively document our travels and experiences.

Together, we love immersing ourselves in new cultures and building genuine connections wherever we go. We have traveled throughout Mexico and through the Patagonian regions of Argentina and Chile, experiences that have shaped our appreciation for community, resilience, and sustainable living.

We are respectful, motivated, and easygoing, and we truly value cultural exchange. Our goal is to contribute wherever we can, support our hosts wholeheartedly, and continue growing, learning, and giving back through meaningful shared experiences.

While my professional background is in software engineering, I've spent the last year traveling and hiking, which has deepened my appreciation for hands-on work and being close to nature. I’ve also worked on projects involving basic landscaping, such as clearing land, planting, and maintaining gardens, which has given me practical experience in outdoor tasks.

These experiences have taught me the value of teamwork, adaptability, and rolling up my sleeves to get the job done. I’m eager to learn new skills and contribute wherever I can—whether it’s planting, harvesting, caring for animals, or assisting with construction projects.

Outside of my passion for the outdoors, I love reading and writing, I typically spend my morning drinking tea or coffee while reading or writing. I love music and used to play several instruments when I was a teenager.
