Hi, we are a couple current based out of Honolulu, Hawaii. My name is Kendall and my boyfriend is Shane. We are traveling for a year and current on month 4. We have been working in the environmental fields in Hawaii for the past 3 years. I have done forest conservation and compliance, while he has worked doing marine conservation on commercial fishing vessels. We are both passionate about nature and our goal is to be able to live closer with nature, learn new skills, have some adventure, and lend a hand. We are an active and outdoor adventure loving couple, who are open minded and respectful. Our long term goals are to live off the land, have horses, and go on a sailing voyage (maybe even get our own boat one day) so learning skills around growing food, ranching, especially horses, basic construction and sailing is especially useful! Personality wise, we are easy-going, hard working, and curious people. At home Kendall likes to hike and be creative; Shane likes to spearfish and surf; and we both love to cook, read, do yoga and get our hands dirty! We love to learn about other lifestyles and cultures so it would be a pleasure to hear from you.

Kendall has experience doing forest conservation, photography/social media, greenhouse/ gardening, beekeeping, child care, house/pet sitting. Shane has experience with fence building, boats, fishing and living in rugged conditions, customer service /tourism, and he is a great cook! We both have experience with animal care (dogs, farm chores), cleaning, painting and making professional looking materials like hiking guides)

Kendall and Shane were great volunteers. For four years, I needed good maps of our hiking trails. They got it done professionally and perfectly. They also helped us serve other guests and put on a birthday party. They worked on signage for our trails.

I had an excellent 2.5 weeks at Janet's coffee farm. She is a gracious host and it is a beautiful property, with river access and amazing bird watching.
