Hello :) my name's Joe and I love exploring the outdoors and having new experiences!

I love being around animals, looking after friends' pets and pursuing my hobby of wildlife photography as often as I can. I'm also very active and love trying out new activities and sports, along with being in the outdoors.

I'm on a career break from being an analyst in the civil service and would love to meet new people, create shared experiences and learn more about cultures of the places and people I'm visiting through volunteering (whilst hopefully fulfilling some of my passions/interests)! I'm from London and am learning Spanish through Duolingo, but I'm still a beginner and would love to improve it through immersion through my workaway experiences in Spain!

I'm new to Workaway, but am excited to get involved and make a difference, and realise the dual benefits of volunteering!

Que habilidades tienes?

I have a good level of experience with animals, looking after friends' dogs regularly, enjoying spending time playing with them and building trust over time.

I have experience in garden maintenance and management, growing fruit and vegetables in my garden, including the building of vegetable boxes and trellises to maximise space utilisation.

For tasks I'm less familiar with, I have regular experience in picking up new tasks and getting up to speed with them quickly, doing this frequently when moving into new roles at work. I'm very keen to get involved with tasks not done before as I enjoy broadening my horizons and skillsets, being a quick learner and adaptable.

I have strong teamwork skills from playing/having a leadership role in my football team, and through my work, and realise the value of collaboration when achieving common goals.

I also have experience in working with children from being a Maths and English tutor for three years, including building rapport with them through playing but also engaging with them in schoolwork when necessary.
