Hi!

My name is Jeremie and I will begin my motorbike trip from Perth to Tasmania around mid-November. I will be looking to volunteer on the way to give my wrist a break from turning the throttle, meet new people and learn new skills:)

So, who am I? I'm a 23 years old Canadian who grew up in a small town who's name go by "Baie-Comeau'', in the french speaking province called ''Québec''. I left my hometown 6 years ago to study. I first study at what would probably be the australian equivalent of college (I don't know yet how work the education system over there) for 3 years in geology. I then went at university in geological engineering for a year, then I dropped out. I started working as a technician in mining exploration in the north of Québec. Since it was a FIFO job and a seasonal job, I had time to travel and start other personal projects. So, I went to Vietnam a year ago and it got me addicted to travel. When I came back from Vietnam, I resumed work and I started my training to get my pilot licence. After getting my private pilot licence, I booked a flight to Australia and came here on a Working Holiday Visa. I've been working in mining exploration since March and my contract will be over around mid-November. Once my contract is done, I will start making my way to Tassie with my motorbike. So, here is my story, hope to meet ya on the road:)

I'm a hard worker and I like to learn about everything. I like to be active and be outside the more possible.

My hobbies are sports in general, but with more interest in martial arts, and muay thai is my favorite one. I also like hiking and camping. When it comes to more relax hobbies, I like to read and cook.

Aviation is one of my passion too. My licence is not approved to fly in Australia, but I would be happy to talk about planes with you:)

And I recently got my motorbike licence and I love it!

My first volunteering experience was in Vietnam 2 year ago in an hostel for 2 weeks. It was fun! I was taking the orders for the breakfast and doing the coffee. I met a lot of nice people and it gave me the opportunity to settle down a bit after backpacking through Vietnam before going back to a normal life:)
