Hello! My name is Jasmin, I’m 37 years old and from Le Mans (1 hour away from Paris) , France.
I’m a calm, friendly, and open-minded person who enjoys meeting new people, new cultures, sharing thoughts...
I’m also physically strong and quite sporty (1m92 -> 6’3” / 95 kg), so I’m used to doing physical work and have no problem lifting or carrying materials when needed (I'm the one my friends are calling when they are moving out their furnitures 😅).

I’m curious, motivated, and hands-on, with a strong desire to step out of my comfort zone and discover new regions and ways of living, both in France and abroad.

Also, I used to be a youth leader. I enjoy spending time with children and teenagers.I like playing with them, organizing activities, and helping them learn some French for example. It would be great to share fun moments together.

🔧 Skills & Experience
As I trained as a mechanic and worked in this domain for 3 years,
I’m comfortable with manual work and mechanical tools — I have experience using chainsaws, brush cutters, and other power tools.
I also enjoy woodworking and small constructions, such as building / fixing planters, fences, or small wooden structures.
I also worked for 10 years as a software developer, which taught me to be organized, adaptable, and good at problem-solving.
I often help a close friend who owns a farm with animals like dogs, cats, hens, sheeps, horses, so I’m familiar with general farm work and animal care.

🌱 Mindset & Motivation

I'd love to find new perspectives, reconnect with nature, and bring more meaning into my daily life. That's why I love traveling so much, for example I have been backpacking in Madagascar, Thailand and in the house lps

I practice meditation regularly and enjoy learning about mindfulness and personal development, through books and podcasts.

I’m also hoping to improve my English (currently around A2/B1 level) and to start learning Spanish, by practicing directly with hosts and other volunteers.

Que habilidades tienes?

Okay, so I'm pretty good at mechanics. I studied motorcycle mechanics for four years, and I worked there for three.
I also have very good computer skills; I worked as an IT developer for ten years.
I also enjoy and am pretty good at anything related to DIY, logistics, and nature maintenance, such as clearing brush, mowing lawns, or cutting firewood, for example.

Ok, alors j'ai un niveau plutôt bon en mécanique, j'ai fait 4 ans d'études dans la mécanique moto, et j'y ai travaillé 3 ans.
J'ai aussi de très bonnes compétences en informatique, j'ai travaillé 10 ans comme développeur IT.
J'aime bien aussi et me débrouille plutôt bien dans tout ce qui touche autour du bricolage, de la logistique, et de l'entretien de la nature comme le débrouissaillage, tonte de pelouse, ou la coupe de bois pour le chauffage par exemple.
