Shalom!

My name is Elana. I was born in Israel, grew up in the Netherlands, and have spent the past years traveling and living in different parts of the world. I’ll be returning to Israel in April and am looking for meaningful Workaway opportunities.

I’m a calm, respectful, and tidy person who enjoys both social connection and quiet time to recharge. I love being part of a warm, positive environment where people share meals, stories, and experiences, while also having space for personal projects. I’m currently writing a book and would love to continue working on it alongside my volunteering.

I’m especially interested in nature, simple living, and meaningful cultural experiences. I enjoy hiking, spending time outdoors, campfires, music, dancing, and deep conversations. I’m also curious about off-grid living, food forests, and a more natural, sustainable lifestyle.

Spiritually, I’m a Christian and have a deep appreciation for the Jewish roots of my faith. I grew up with Jewish traditions and enjoy celebrating Shabbat and the biblical feasts. I’m always open to learning more about Hebrew, traditions, and local culture.

In terms of lifestyle, I eat vegetarian (mostly plant-based) and am happy to cook for myself or share simple meals with others.

My experience includes:

- Physiotherapy internship in Kenya (working with children with disabilities)
- Volunteering in the Philippines (teaching meditation & massage)
- Living and working on cruise ship P&O Azura (massage)
- Living and working in New Zealand (2 years - massage)
- Living and working in Australia (4 years - Hawaiian massage/ farm work)
- Hospitality experience (hostel work and currently working in private rental villas in Greece)

I’m adaptable, responsible, and happy to help wherever needed—whether that’s hospitality, cleaning, gardening, basic farm work, or guest interaction.

I truly enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds and contributing to a place in a meaningful way.
