I'm a 53-year-old American who spent the last 15 years living in Switzerland working in healthcare. After a career in corporate life, I left last summer for extended travel—a chance to step away, learn, and experience life in new ways.
I've been in South America since October '25, learning Spanish and exploring Argentina and Uruguay. I'm drawn to understanding places through people, culture, and daily rhythms, not just the postcard version. I've volunteered before on agricultural projects in Ghana and conservation work with gorillas in Cameroon, so I know how to show up, adapt, and contribute.
I stay active through cycling, hiking, F45, and yoga, so I'm comfortable with physical work and long days. I'm low-maintenance, self-sufficient, curious, and genuinely interested in learning and connecting rather than just passing through.

Corporate Background: Spent years organizing projects, presenting, writing - got really good at making things happen and keeping operations running. But I'm way more interested in learning to milk a cow than build another spreadsheet.

Physical Work: Comfortable with manual labor, follow instructions well, don't need hand-holding. Not an expert, but I show up and get the work done.

Photography: Actually skilled - especially people and animals. Travel with my camera, happy to document whatever you need.

Kitchen: Not a gourmet chef, but comfortable helping with meals and cleanup.

Music: Play guitar, published a music magazine - music's been a big part of my life. Always up for singing and cultural exchange.

Animals: Enthusiastic learner, ready to be taught proper handling and care.

Personality: Traveled to 60+ countries, connect easily with people everywhere. Curious, love asking questions and hearing stories. Organized, reliable, enthusiastic learner.

I'm a certified yoga teacher (even if I can't touch my toes). Keep up with reading for my book club. Enjoy padel, walks and hikes, cycling. Mostly, passionate about connection and conversations over coffee, wine or the mate experience. Easy-going, adaptable, up for whatever.
