Hi!
I'm Débora, a 27-year-old traveler from Mexico, currently exploring Canada to continue growing both personally and professionally. I have a strong background in tourism and hospitality, and I’m passionate about cultural exchange, community projects, and learning new things along the way.

I studied Anthropology at university from 2018 to 2021, completing over 286 credits. Although I paused my studies to take a sabbatical and travel (and didn’t return afterward), my background in anthropology deeply influences the way I connect with people, approach cultural exchange, and understand social dynamics.

Since 2021, I’ve worked in tourism and customer service, including front desk and reservations management in hostels in Mexico and Colombia, as well as earlier experience as a volunteer since 2018. My work has involved everything from handling bookings and organizing volunteer teams to hands-on tasks like painting, basic maintenance, and cleaning. I’ve also held office jobs, where I gained experience in administration and customer service via phone and chat.

I hold an open work permit and I’m available to start right away. I’m looking for volunteer opportunities, and I’m also open to paid work if possible, as I’d love to support myself while contributing to meaningful projects. I’m especially interested in projects related to tourism, guest interaction, or hands-on help like DIY, gardening, construction, or maintenance — I love learning practical skills and staying active!

I hope to contribute my skills, learn new ones, meet inspiring people, and gain valuable experience in Canada, especially within tourism and cultural environments. I’m reliable, respectful, and always ready to help — whether it’s with guests, manual work, or day-to-day tasks.

I love learning new languages. Since I've lived a while in a hostel, I got to know basic of many languages and I''m always trying to learn something new of each one of them. It would be a pleasure for me to teach spanish or english in exchange for another language!

Algo más...

I'm learning tattooing, mostly stick and poke. Haven't had enough time to develop it completely but I know the technique and I've done quite a few tattoos already. I reaaally like it!!
Would also like to develop more my musical skills. I play a little bit of guitar and a bit more of Ukulele. I love to sing, but I can get a little nervous haha, karaoke is always welcomed tho.
I've done a couple big paintings for a Hostel and a couple small ones for coffee shop. I just put a lot of love in it and then the art comes out, not to say I'm professional but i really liked the outcome.
I read, listen to random music, do some gardening, painting on my free time. And I always love to learn new stuff to do. I consider I'm creative so that helps a lot!
