My name is Adam. The first thing I love to do on a morning is smile,, get it over and done with then I can get on with my day,,, haha
Anyway personally ive always thought the world is nuts,, it makes no sense at all to me, just gotta make the most of it and try and find some real meaning and follow your passions. What else to say?? I enjoy reading, and sometimes a bit of writing, music, and i have a big love for animals and nature, nature is one of the last pure things left in the world,, and birds, imagine a world without birds, they're just amazing. I love to be outside either walking or on a bike. Seven year's ago i had a bad accident and was in hospital for 3 and a half months. The accident and the recovery afterwards made me look at life differently and made me see how precious it is. In 2016 i went and volunteered at a spiritual retreat in south america which was amazing, and it made me realize even more that the monotony of working in factories and warehouses doing the same thing day in day out my whole life will only make me sad and unhappy. I don't mind doing those jobs just not forever. Going to south america was like the first big step in my new journey. I hope to travel and see much more of the world,,, life should be an exciting adventure.. I would really love to visit india,, see all the culture,,, and do some meditation and yoga, and volunteering,, and just generally travelling around having the time of my life. Finally though on a serious note my advice to all young people out there or anyone for that matter is this,, to be free is wonderful and freedom is a god given right for everyone but without boundaries for yourself you will just be thrown around like a boat in the ocean without an anchor. What else to say,,apart from my passions i just love to try new things meet new people and just generally have fun, have a laugh and enjoy life

I am hardworking,,,, and always give my all in everything I do. I'm not afraid to try anything new or get my hands dirty and just get stuck in. Over the years i've had many job's and i have experience working with animal's ,, conservation,,, gardening and DIY and have worked volunteering in a spiritual retreat in south america where everyone had to chip in with various jobs as part of the community.

I am a very friendly , happy go lucky type of lad and i get on well with everyone. I always have time for every person I meet, i love meeting new characters,,,and wherever I go I make sure I try my best to fit in and be part of the group...I like to have a laugh and have fun,, what's life without laughter and fun????

I stayed at jitus place for around 8 weeks from january to the beginning of march. I arrived just before the camel festival in bikaner.
On the first day of the festival i was dressed up in a bright coloured rajasthan carnival outfit and then went through town on a horse and cart, until we reached the festival inside a stadium. Everyone was… read more waving, i felt like a celebrity, haha. The festival was really good fun.
All the camels were dressed up in fancy costumes, and there were different competitions, like camel dancing. Jitu had his own stall at the festival selling camel products which i helped with. I was a little tired by the end of the day because of talking to so many people,haha, but it was a great day.
On the second day of the festival we went to the camel farm,, and saw the camel race. Then we went back to the stadium once again and worked on the stall. Also there was a tug of war competition indians vs foreigners which the tourists won. Although i was not much use,, as i was smoking too much at that point, so i was out of breath very quickly, haha. But i still managed with a red face to collect my winners trophy on stage, haha. The trophy still sits proudly in my house today, haha.
Later that week there was also a bird of prey festival, at the jorbeer conservation reserve where jitu works. again this was another great day learning about all the different bird species.
The rest of my time was spent helping at the guest house with jitus wife and family,, and suradj the young lad who helped at the house. I would help clean, wash pots,, walk the dogs, prepare rooms for guests. Just generally helping out around the house and guest house. Jitus family, his wife, two boys, and his mam and dad and suradjh were so kind and really took care of me the whole time,, it was so nice.
Everyone made me feel at home, i felt like one of the family, and jitus wife was an excellent cook.
I would work around 5 hours a day,, then have the rest of time to myself. Sometimes i would go into town and visit the bikaner fort,, or just sit on the roof top and chill out in the sun, or play football with the lads.
Bikaner fort was really nice,, i kept going back because i liked it so much, hhaaha.
jitu would also take me too the nature reserve every so often on bird watching tours,, and one time i was taken with some guests to look for wildcats,, and luckily we managed to see them. and occasionally i would help at the shop. But the highlight of the whole time was when jitu took me and an australian lady guest to see the demoiselle cranes in a place called khichen.
These are a migratory birds that come all the way from mongolia and eurasia and spend the wintering months in Khichen, part of the thar desert. Local people volunteer and donate money to feed the birds, and up to 5,000 kilos of seed are consumned everyday. Now people flock from far and wide to see the birds feeding every morning.
We arrived on the morning and met jitus friend at his house and immedietely as soon as we got out the car there were cranes everywhere. We then went up to the rooftop and within minutes the sky was full of cranes just above our heads, all calling out to each other as they prepared to land,, it was really amazing.
Eventually they all landed and fed on the seed. I'll never forget it, it was a lovely thing to see.
I had a really great time at jitus with many fond memories
