Lindsay:

I have been travelling for 2.5 years now (in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe) and volunteering through Workaway for 18 months. I love sewing, crocheting, arts and crafts, DIY, and anything creative. I am also a passionate vegan cook and am most happy when I can run a kitchen and prepare meals for others :) For fun I like to read (mostly fantasy) and I do yoga and meditate every morning. I particularly like helping out at and being in Buddhist places (temples, retreat centres).

I think volunteering while travelling is amazing because it brings me to parts of a country that I would not otherwise have seen, and I get to meet so many interesting people along the way. I also really enjoy getting to try new things and learn new skills (like gardening and carpentry!)

Chris:

Hello, I'm searching for places to experience wild and vibrant adventures. I enjoy connecting with others and maintaining a positive outlook in all situations. I am vegan and passionate about fermentations. Recently, I've been working in an organic mushroom farm.

I have been traveling twice one year mainly in Europe doing volunteering and small jobs like harvesting. I have done 6 months volunteering in an animal sanctuary in Spain, working a lot to offer the best conditions to the animals I cared for.

I have worked 3 months for a vegetable producer as well doing all tasks needed in the small organic production farm. I have done other volunteering projects in a small ecovillage, another in a shared housing place

Lindsay:

I have a degree in fashion design and am an experienced seamstress. I can also help with any DIY related projects like painting and decorating. I have some knowledge of gardening as I have been volunteering at a lot of small farms/homesteads. Most importantly - I am an excellent vegan cook.

Chris:

I want to align my actions with the nature around us, through edible plants, and using what is available instead of buying something new, DIY projects. I love to have fermentation projects to preserve, enhance and consume living food. I built a van and acquired some knowledge in wood working. I recently helped a carpenter and had many building and maintenance projects. I have been gardening 3 months, planting, harvesting and selling in outside markets. I love minimalism and value organizing objects and spaces to make them easy and enjoyable to use.
