    Hello,

We are Toni (Anton) and Emma, an Austrian–Finnish couple based in Vienna, and we are looking for a house-sitting opportunity during our summer holidays—ideally in September 2026. We would love to travel south to Italy, the Balkans, Spain, Portugal, or France, and settle in a calm, warm, and sunny place we can truly call a home base for a while. We look forward to compensating for the stay by contributing to everyday tasks, from house maintenance, plant care, and small construction projects to animal care, cleaning, and arts and crafts. 😊

Over the past eight years together, we have completed several Workaway stays. Unfortunately, some reviews were lost due to account changes and periods of solo travel, but we remain very experienced and reliable helpers! We are not afraid of getting our hands dirty—indoors or outdoors—and are kind, responsible, resourceful, independent, communicative, and nature-loving people.

Toni is a 39-year-old architect who grew up on a farm in the Austrian countryside. He has strong skills in building, repairs, gardening, and farming, and is experienced in operating construction machinery, including heavy equipment. A few years ago, he even fully renovated an apartment on his own, from start to finish.

Emma is 30 years old and works at a university in Vienna. She grew up riding horses and doing stable work in Finland, and is both physically strong and creatively inclined. She is an experienced painter—working on large surfaces such as walls and murals—and has applied these skills in several previous Workaway projects.

Since 2025, we have been accompanied by our 4-year-old rescue dog, Reema, who is an important part of our little family. She is calm, gentle, well-behaved, and very polite, and we love bringing her along on our adventures.

  • Que habilidades tienes?

As an architect I can plan buildings and all kinds of other projects. I like to build and get involved in building what I have planned in a sustainable way, with my own hands.

I enjoy working with wood and am also able to build basic furniture out of it. I'm used to work with all kinds of power tools and can repair them if something breaks. I like to repair all kinds of stuff.

I grew up on a farm, so I can drive bigger machines like tractors in a rough terrain. I like all kinds of garden work and also enjoy working with animals. I like physical work as well as mental planning projects.

For me, there is nothing better than the feeling after finishing a challenging project together with others. :)
