¡Hola!

I am Steff and I am taking a whole year to travel South America, an amazing continent I have never been to before!

For me, I love travelling not just to be in different places, meeting different people, trying different foods and watching the sunset from a new place, but also for the friends made along the way. This is why I love the idea of Workaway: to stay, live, work and laugh in one place for long enough to get to know people and make real connections.

I want to experience EVERYTHING. I want to work in customer service in hostels, I want to wake up early and work on a farm, I want to work at vineyards, with bees, with baby goats (I LOVE baby goats), for a surf/dive/beach shop, in bars, restaurants, wherever will have me! I want this year to be as full of new experiences and wonderful people as possible!

Hace muchos años, he sido aprendiendo Español. Es mi sueño ser fluida en Español durante mi año en Sudamérica. Quiero practicar hablando mientras viajando y trabajando, y espero que usted puede ser paciente conmigo!

Que habilidades tienes?

First and foremost, I love cooking and baking for lots of people. Food is love, and I love trying new recipes and finding new favourites! I am definitely a feeder.
I enjoy mixing cocktails, I believe there is a drink for every occasion!
I enjoy spending time in the garden, anything outside in the sunshine.
I have experience in customer services - hotels, restaurants, cleaning, working reception, welcoming guests, helping find solutions to problems. I love being social and making sure people are happy.
I worked at a scuba centre for three months in Mexico and did marine conservation on the reefs for another 3 months. Scuba diving is my happy place.
Although I haven’t done a lot of carpentry, I once spent 2 days in Devon, England making my own three-footed wooden stool from blocks of wood and I really enjoyed that.
I love forests, foraging, living in nature, harvesting my own food (or wine), and am passionate about the environment (save the bees!).
I have been learning Spanish for years and am finally at the stage where I want to fully immerse myself if I am ever to get fluent!
I love stories and writing, and most of all, exploration!
