Hello :) I am Sarahmaria from Denmark, im a 23 year old and have been traveling on and of the last two years. Im going to Japan for a year and im so exited to emerge myself in the language and culture.
I would describe myself as open and friendly and very keen to met and help others. Im very interested in cultural exchange, art, music, social work and organic farming.

Im passionate about many things, I enjoy playing music, reading, painting, history, politics and working outside. I love to learn new intruments, languages and practical skills through my enconnters with new people. I also love working with kids and being silly, creative and using music, singing and art to connect with people.

I like to bring a posetive energy to my work and also to doing a good job that makes people happy. I grew up on the country side on a farm house surrounded by forest where we would take care of the plants and horses, which has made me very fond of countryside life.

Im a very social and happy person, I really enjoy meeting and living with different people, cooking together and sharing fun cozy moments whether its a big community or a small family house.
I think traveling with workaway is an amazing way to connect and learn new culture and languages and I would love to do this throughout my life.

Que habilidades tienes?

I like working with my hands i have worked at different farms, animals, gardens and maintenance in Spain and also through out my childhood, (though I didnt enjoy it as much at that time haha)
All in all i work hard, i dont mind getting my hands dirty and im used to being outside:)

I have a strong love for arts and crafts and have taken many arts classes thoughout my life.
I have also taught drawing and other arts in workaways before. I made a project in a refugee community in Spain about upcycling clothes, where we printed the drawings we had made of eachother on the clothes.
I also worked at their second hand store and helped the children of the community with homework.

Im very fond of working with kids and young people and im very comfordabel with playing and making games.

I have helped organized differrent events, festivals and workshops.
I was co. organizing a weekly International food event in Denmark where we arranged dinners for internationals and Danish students to mingle and connect.

I also play various instruments and paint and I’m also very happy to jam, share and teach:)
