Descripción
I quit my office job in March after 7 years. I decided to buy a campervan and do some travelling around Australia, where I have lived since 2017.
I am enjoying travelling the country, however, as a solo traveller, I would love to meet other people along the way and have interesting experiences, as well as see parts of the country more like a local. Having used workaway about ten years ago to travel Europe, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.
I'm a logical, practical person. I enjoy working outdoors, I put effort into tasks I'm given and take pride in my work.
I am an active person, enjoying going to the gym and doing kick boxing classes. I love theatre and in my spare time enjoy acting in plays, as well as directing and producing shows. Last year I also wrote my first play for the Sydney Fringe Festival.
I am very interested in learning about the outback way of life, and keen to get involved in farming projects, horse care / riding and generally working outdoors and getting my hands dirty!
I enjoy being social and getting to know people, and I believe these experiences, you get out of it what you put in, so I like to dive in and give it my best efforts :)

It was great having Steph around this summer to create order out of chaos! She is a lovely person to have around - always helping out without being asked - and is able to work well on her own or as part of a team. A mature individual with a bright mind and willing hands. Highly recommended.

I stayed with Keith and Debs for a month in July/August. I arrived with 5 other workawayers from Spain & when we arrived Debs was away for work and its fair to say the house needed a good old spring clean :) We got stuck in the very next day and Keith & Debs are flexible about the specific times you work so we did 8am-1 and were able to enjoy our… read more

Steph stayed with us during our quieter season and so we had lots of decoration and repair jobs to be done as well as routine grass cutting and gite cleaning. No job was a problem for Steph and her attention to detail and determination to finish a job was a wonderful help to us.

I stayed for over 3 weeks with Rob, Melanie & the kids. It was a perfect experience for my first work away. As it was slightly off season I was able to stay in one of their gites which was huge and more than enough room for me on my own. The farm is beautiful & their is lots to see and do in the surrounding area. I didnt have a car so Rob lent me… read more

Stephanie stayed with us for 3 weeks in July 2015, with a few interruptions. I love her resourceful approach to things: she researches and then just goes and does them. I'm especially grateful to Patricia for the trips to the station & back, accompanying me to the doctors when I became unwell, her advice and for including me in many things- even going to their son's flat for a family dinner.
