Hi!

My name is Olaf, 32, from Germany.
Since my last stay in Colombia two years have passed - so I'm back for more :D

Colombia is one of the most beautiful countries and voluntering here brought a lot of joy to my life. So I hope to can link to those experiences and share previous gained knowledge and skills in next exchanges.

Que habilidades tienes?
Worked about four years in catering and logistics at events or exhibitions. Also worked two years in housekeeping in a big city hotel. I have some basic IT skills from my work in real estate.

As hobbyies I like to cook, taking care of animals or gardening. I would describe myself as a disciplined, quick learning, kind, yet introverted person.

In former volunteerings I did planting and cultivation of plants, basic construction with concrete/stones/bamboo, paintings, cooking and reception help in hostels.

It was a pleasure having Olaf come to stay with us. He was a great help and very pleasant company. His jobs included organising our tent collection, gardening work, looking after the farm whilst we were away and organising my tool room. I would definitely recommend him as a volunteer . Thank you Olaf!

This was my third workaway in Colombia and by far my most lovable and memorable experience. I stayed with Theo and his family for five weeks. The work was mostly helping out in the restaurant during the weekends. Besides that, I was also during some construction, painting and house sitting occasionally. Way more then fair working hours!

Olaf was great to have around - he is smart, self starting and responsible, he kept the house clean and respected the place as though it were his own, you'd often see him washing up a few extra plates in the kitchen, leaving the room tidy, turning off lights and closing doors - just a good, respectful guy to have around and he is always welcome… read more

This was my second workaway here in Colombia and I had an amazing time! I stayed at Andrew's place for 1 month, working at the Finca in reforestation, maintenance and fertilisation of plants/trees. Moreover I helped out in the kitchen at busy weekends.
