Gosh, so much has changed since we first joined this community, many years ago. We have some updates!

After spending a solid year backpacking Europe, we really fell for Croatia, so after leaving our boat home in the UK, we packed and set sail once more, relocating to Split city. We lived in Croatia for 3 years but we have once again packed up and left. We spent a month in Rwanda and are now in Thailand.

Ayda our dog is with our friends in the UK, since the travel was difficult for her and we can visit anytime. She's happier with the land our close friends can offer, and her companion - their labradoodle!

I have finally finished running my NGO non for profit in the UK. But I have since written and illustrated my first children’s book (life long dream of mine) which is publishing imminently, and topically created to raise awareness for neurodivergent children. These experiences have helped me expand hugely on marketing skills.

I still paint, mostly pet portraits (included some in pics along with some other of my work) for clients all over the world. I do this digitally, so I don't have to carry an easel and paint! And if you have pets, it would be my pleasure during my stay to capture them. I've included my work in my gallery.

My main skills: expert in sustainable development and strategy (my career and field of study for a decade), multi award winning leader in community with royal recognition, creating shared value solutions, marketing, branding, illustrating, teaching, business development, social media management, grant writing/fundraising and creative writing/author.

Soft skills: sustainable cook, musician/singer, arty type, teacher (mostly sustainable topics but also English). Interior design/painter, upcycler of furniture. I make things look pretty!

Also meticulously tidy and clean, annoyingly organised, neurodivergent with a penchant for perfection and a lateral thinker with a big ol' heart for people and community fixed firmly on my sleeve. I cannot count though. Dyscalculic to my core! I also can't bake cakes, but I'm a self trained cook so proficient when I don't have to measure anything.

My son's main skills: leadership, sports, language (native English also speaks Croatian), video editing, filming, technology, diploma in robotics, cooking (he's a natural!) speed cuber (see netflix) (holds internationally recognised speeds with the Rubik's cube.. and does not get this from me!) He would also love to teach others to solve the Rubicks cube.

He’s been highly reviewed already, but his skills have expanded considerably since we last travelled, as he’s much older (turning 16 in July), and also more physically capable. He's strong, very responsible, conscientious and fun to be around People tell me everywhere we go, he’s not like other kids; not just because he looks much older, but he's very engaged and switched on. I’m very lucky to be his mum!

Aside of this, we are well versed in the workaway community. We both come well reviewed, and we’ve been so lucky with those we’ve shared time with during our last year of travel, making life long friends along the way, so we're ready for another adventure!

We’re looking now for a community or project to get stuck into, a school would be wonderful, or a family we can help; people we can connect with. We are extremely useful people and ready to get involved.

I'm happy to offer language practice. I'm confident with formal teaching, especially with grammar, but happy to teach informal conversational methods, too. My son speaks excellent English, and also speaks Croatian, he's now learning Russian.

While I've spent a number of years fighting food waste and hunger, and created community recycling projects for over 10 years now, my skills are much broader; there's really not many things I wouldn't turn my hand to.
