I work as a steel worker professionally and have a master's degree in jewelry design/crafting, which pretty much makes me a travelling craftsmen when i am travelling :). I can use most of common tools/items and am good at construction or repairs of different types (i dont like cement or plumbing but can do if needs be). Apart from that i can say i am getting good at animal care, bush craft, camping and helping around children thanks to workaway. I am fairly easy to get along with but people who are obsessed with a certain idealogy or who are always right, are the types i keep my distance from (i have neither interest nor time for conflict or stress). I spent summer of 2024 here in Cengiz Han's place and i can say it was one of my best workaway experiences so far. Aslı and John are some of the kindest people i have met and their place is a heaven. I stayed here in a private room with shared bathroom and we had a fully equipped kitchen/dining area for volunteers, Aslı would usually cook us delicious meals for dinner, sometimes even desserts. Güneş didn’t stay long but worked hard at whatever job we gave him while he was here. He is a quiet person but very likeable once you get to know him. I am happy to recommend him to other workaway hosts.

This is one of the few hosts i visited which actually does permaculture and they do it considerably well with a few wallnut grove, a huge garden with lots of different crops and various animals. I stayed here about 3 weeks and i can say it was a nice break from chaos and usual inconviniences of travelling around Turkey. We had healthy food coming… read more

Güneş is a hard-working, talented person. He weld our cactuses trays in the greenhouse and even helped us to build one of our greenhouses. A proper workaway place, hours are fixed, people are friendly, easy to reach from İstanbul, and you get to stay in comfort of a 3 story villa! (Retreat and festival centre, ...)
Work is relatively hard for what a volunteer would expect, but everything worth the ordeal in the end. Beautiful nature, interesting people, usually peaceful and quiet. Pretty cool weather in the summer too. After staying here about 2 months I feel both mentally and physically more resilent. I would love to return to this place every summer.
